No update this week due to the fact I couldn't get the latest records at my record store this week (my doctor advised me to stay at home). So next week there will be lots of new reviews to look out for.

Is a promo really a promo? (a new way to hype records)
Some UK labels release records marked as promotional items to generate a hype on them. The remixes of "Tears" on Essential Records is an example, and other example is "Chocolate Sensation" by Lenny Fontana & DJ Shorty on FFRR Records. And AM:PM Records also started with it by releasing a one-sided 12" of New Vision "(Just) me and you" (both promotional and retail catalog number).
Navigation system changed back to simple html code
After several people reported problems with the Java based navigation system to me, I decided to go back to simple html code which should work with every actual browser without any problem. I also tested a JavaScript based version, but this made some problems too.
Some people are having problems with the new navigation system
I added a new navigation system to my site a few weeks ago which uses java to work. It should work well with both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer (versions 4 and above). If you encounter any problems, please report them to me.
US imports this week (again and again and ...)
For the third week in a row now, our local distributor did not get the US imports on friday. No information available to me what was the problem this time, but it gets really annoying...
US imports this week
Again, no US imports on friday. This time due to problems with a new computer based system installed at the airport to handle all the incoming freight.
Japan only record releases
So many great records released in Japan only, and those records are hard to get. And when you find them, they are pretty expensive. In New York, they cost you from $ 15.-- to $ 20.-- a piece, and London is equally expensive. Now getting them here in Switzerland is nearly impossible, and if a store can find them for you, it will be around the prices mentioned above.
As a music lover I just ordered a couple of those japanese records, and I know I can't do this too many times a year. All we can do is hope that those records get licensed for release in the rest of the world (Yellow Reocrds France just licensed "Plein Soleil" by Yasushi Ide for a european release).
US imports this week
Due to hurrican 'Floyd', the distributors were not able to ship the latest US records last thursday. I should get them this tuesday so you will find the reviews next week.
