Jack 2 Jazz featuring C. Robert Walker "South African Summer" (Jack 2 Jazz Records CD Promo)

Jack 2 Jazz (Paris Cesvette, Slikk Tim, Giuliano Veludo) are busy in the study working on their debut album, to shorten the wait they give us the marvelous first single "South African Summer" featuring C. Robert Walker. The masterly orchestrated "South African Summer" is sheer musical bliss, with C. Robert Walker's heart felt rendition of the lyrics being accompanied by sublime keys and an organic funky as hell backdrop. We can't wait to get our hands on the album...

Monodeluxe featuring Diviniti "Find your light" (Vibe Boutique Records CD Promo)

What a gem we have here... Monodeluxe team up with Detroit's house music diva Diviniti to give us the vibrant "Find your light", a superb production featuring inspirational spoken words by Diviniti and dulcet keys over a warm groovy backing. Aphreme contributes a delectable rework on a classy old school tip, Jonny Montana adds his signature organic jazz drenched touch, and last but not least South Africa's Luther Sole Essential takes the song to deeper grounds on his moody atmospheric interpretation.

Kafele featuring Eliki "Secret" (Ocha Records CD Promo)

We fell in love with this wonderful song by trumpeter, composer and producer Kafele and and songstress Eliki the very first time  we heard it - the masterly jazz inspired orchestration combined with Eliki's inimitable sultry rendition of the vocals are guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. But lets not forget about the stellar remixes by the likes of Ezel, DJ Cecil, Eltonnick and Yotam Avni who all add their distinctive soulful/deep touch to take the song to a whole new level, giving you a really tough choice which version to play...

Candi Bean Records are back on Spirit of House with "Come on over" by Lamulka Arts, an outstanding soulful vocal production featuring heartfelt vocals by Cooks alongside grandiose jazzy keys and chords over deep infectious yet smooth rhythms. Beside the magnificent original mixes there is an eclectic selection of remixes by Deep Sixty, DJ Ouder and Hojulo included, which each of these interpretations letting you enjoy this fantastic production in its full glory, keeping the vibe deep and soulful. The release is spread over two separate packages which are both highly recommended.

Benham & Brown "Benham & Brown EP" (Rejoice Records CD Promo)

Rejoice Records kick 2013 off with this phenomenal release by DJ/producer Jay Benham and house music diva Angie Brown having timeless written all over... The "Benham & Brown EP" includes four soulful yet fierce bombs titled "Dangerous girl", "Love is gonna get me through", "Promise" and "Talkin bout love", each spreading an irresistible feel good vibe though the unmistakable passionate vocals by Angie Brown, grand keys and fierce yet smooth funked-up backdrops. Jam-packed floors guaranteed whenever you drop any of these soulful yet fierce bombs...

Soulmagic "Someone like you" (Strictly Rhythm Records CD Promo)

Ever since Soulmagic's "Someone like you" landed in our mailbox last summer, we've been groovin' and dancin' to the mesmerizing rhythms and uplifting melodies of this wicked track. Right in time for this years Winter Music Conference, this summery track which works Alicia Meyers' classic "I want to thank you" to full effect returns in a full vocal version featuring the silky smooth vocals by J-Sun, not to forget to mention the slammin' remixes from last year by Matt Early who contributes an uplifting soul-funk inspired version, Kings of Groove who deliver a sublime latin flavored remix and finally Alfred Azzetto who turns up the heat for peak time mayhem.

Paso Doble featuring Zano "Majestic" (Ocha Records CD Promo)

The second new single from Ocha Records this week is courtesy of DJ/producer Paso Doble, founder of renowned Melomania Records based in Montreal (Canada). On "Majestic", he joins forces with vocalist Zano to bless us with a marvelous slice of afro-deep built around smooth'n'sexy rhythms, celestial melodies and deeply rooted vocals by Zano. To make it short, this beautiful gem is guaranteed to make you yearn for more - miss it at your own risk...

Luyo "Hungry for love" (Double Cheese Records CD Promo)

Label CEO Federico Luyo returns with "Hungry for love", a hotter than hot production featuring the incomparable vocals of songstress Wendy Lewis (backed-up by a 24 people choir) alongside wicked guitar and lush keys over a contaminous funk soaked backing. On remix duty we have Lenny Fontana whose deepened workout oozes with a classic vibe. Nothing more needs to be said besides each of the two featured versions is guaranteed to set the floor on fire...

Steal Vybe "Blue DEEPNESS EP" (Arkaia Recordings CD Promo)

Arkaia Recordings is the brand new label of Chris Forman, one half of the multi-talented duo Steal Vybe - truly the label debuts in grand style with the "Blue DEEPNESS EP" by Steal Vybe which features six massive tracks sure to send the crowd into a frenzy. The tracks range from classic 90's style house over deep house to afro-deep, oozing with heavenly melodies and uber cool vocal talk overs. In other words, an EP that takes you on an exhilarating excursion through deepest imaginable grounds...

Da Reff featuring Neonrific "Black felon" (Gruv Shack Records CD Promo)

South African up and rising producer Da Reff (Refentse Makgopela) makes his debut on Gruv Shack Records with "Black felon", a beautiful down-tempo production oozing with enchanting vocals by Neonrific and soothing melodies. The superb afro/deep/tribal flavored up-tempo remixes by the likes of Ultra Soul Project, Giorgio Bassetti, Bee-Bar, Terryfic and Da Reff himself give you plenty of choices to work the floor. Highly recommended.

Peter James Kahn "Could you be" (Sofitone Records CD Promo)

The latest release on Sofitone Records is courtesy of Peter James Kahn whose "Could you be" is a glorious vocal production featuring sultry vocals alongside luscious melodies over utterly deep truly infectious rhythms. Matt B Soulbasics & Marc Cotterell, Patrick Green and Didier Vanelli contribute the remixes, all adding their distinctive soulful/deep touch.

It's time again to bring you a selection of the best edits and bootleg remixes we got in the past few weeks... Rightside and Mark Di Meo team up to turn Rihanna's "Nobody's business" (which features guest artist Chris Brown) into a smoothly stompin' funk drenched four-to-the-floor affair laced with grand keys and lovely guitar. Next we have Spellband who turn Brandy's "Can you hear me now" into a mesmerizing deep house affair which fuses the vocals with heavenly melodies and deeply thumpin' rhythms. Finally, Alex Mattei & HGM revive the Coldcut classic "People hold on", with their workout being an utterly deep melodious affair taking the legendary vocals by Lisa Stansfield to new heights.

Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section to highlight other noteworthy releases...

Deep Character & Mad Boss grace us with "NY dream", an ingenious deep house production guaranteed to set the floor on fire thanks to uber cool vocals and luscious melodies, not to forget to mention the eclectic selection of mixes giving you plenty of choices to work the floor (NiteGroove Records CD Promo). Deeprebels's jazz infused late night gem "Deeper love" is guaranteed to make you yearn for more thanks to heavenly keys which are combined with deep and laidback yet captivating rhythms (Gruv Shack Records CD Promo).

Souldynamic take us on a joyful journey through old school inspired underground house with their tasty "Experience EP" featuring four equally massive tracks - jam-packed floors guaranteed (Underground Collective Recordings CD Promo). Then Mike Dominico gives us the aptly titled "Raw Disco", a remorseless four-to-the-floor take on the unforgettable Disco sounds of yesteryear working the Bee Gee's all-time classic "You should be dancin'" to full effect (Muted Trax Records CD Promo).

If you're into serious deepness with an underground-esque touch, look no further than the following two releases courtesy of Candi Bean Records: First up is "Crystal skulls" by Hojulo coming complete with remixes by DJ Ouder, second we have "Raw street freestyle" by DJ Ouder featuring the lyricism of Lazee and remixes by Hojulo (both Candi Bean Records CD Promo).
