A good five year ago (July 2009 to be precise), CyberJamz Records released "I am woman", a charity remix project by K. Joy featuring Collective Men & Women United (all proceeds go towards the Women's Cancer Network/WCN). Now CyberJamz Records bless us with "Essence of a woman" which features previously unreleased mixes of "I am woman" by DJ Buzzard and Paul G both taking this wonderful song which features powerful lyrics masterly performed by the involved artists to a whole new level on their equally jaw-dropping renditions. Also included are "So alive" a captivating deeply thumpin' affair where K.Joy's inimitable vocals are accompanied by lush keys, and "So high" an energetic yet melodious and soulful vocal track perfect for prime-time action.
Jamie Lewis & Michael Watford "For you" (MoD & Staffan Thorsell Remixes)(Purple Music CD Promo)
Back in 1999, Swiss DJ/producer Jamie Lewis and legendary singer Michael Watford came together to record "For you", a song which became an instant club anthem not least due to the massive Kings of Tomorrow and Boris Dlugosch & Michi Lange remixes. Right in time for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), Purple Music have prepared a gigantic remix package (not less than 32 mixes) of the song, with some of the standout mixes coming from MoD & Staffan Thorsell who deliver both a classic soul/funk infused interpretation as well as fierce peak-time version laced with inebriant melodies.
Jon Fernandez featuring Clay "You lift me high" (HSR Records CD Promo
HSR Records have become one of our favorite labels in recent months simply due to the fact they release nothing but the best in soulful house music. Their latest offering by Jon Fernandez is no exception, what you get is finest soul/funk infused house music spreading an uplifting feel through the funk soaked organic backdrop, sweet guitars, exquisite keys, grand horns and the passionate vocals of Clay. But this is not all as the package includes superb remixes from Guido P and Soulbridge both adding their beloved soulful touch, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version...

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...
Finally our favorite cut from Metro Trax' wicked "Miami 2014 WMC Sampler" gets the well deserved full single release complete with a blazin' hot remix... Alex Millet's "Feel the vibe (feel the base)" is an uplifting and chunky funktified house track using clever sampling, reworked by DJ Romain who gives the track a pumpin' chopped-up feel sure to set the floor on fire (Metro Trax Records CD Promo).
From Matt Prehn comes the delectable "Dark Circles EP" featuring two original deep house productions entitled "Dark circles" and "The fear" both spreading an enchanting vibe through deep somewhat dark rhythms, moody keys and not to forget the seductive female vocals. As a bonus, you get a wicked Nu-Disco styled remix of "The fear"( Large Music CD Promo).
Ondagroove team up with Josephine Sweett for "Do it to me one more time", a truly uplifting and inspiring feel-good production oozing with a gorgeous old school infused vibe guaranteed to send the floor into a frenzy through enthralling rhythms, glorious melodies and Josephine Sweett's powerful vocals. On remix duty are KPD who give the track a relentless hypnotizing feel on their vibrant rework (DeepTown Music CD Promo).
The "Map Dance ADE 2014 Sampler" gives us a glimpse of things to come in the near future on both Map Dance and Vertigo Records. There is the soul infused Booker T interpretation of Renato Falashi & Brian Lucas cover version of the all-time classic "The bottle", the mesmerizing deep house cut "Origins of House" by Terry Lex & Gianni N, the feel-good jam "Kiss me" by Charles Schillings featuring Kym Mazelle (Shazz Remix), the tantalizing 'Aldo Kapone Deep Ride' workout of Brian Lucas "Live as one", and finally the tech-soul inspired 'Jason Brooks Futuro Remix' of "Hot underground" by Kamal & Costa (Map Dance Records CD Promo).
