Heather Johnson "Under my skin" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)

Image "Under my skin" is the follow up to Heather Johnson's debut solo single "Washes over me", again producedĀ  by Ananda Project & Wamdue forntman Chris Brann. DJ Spen & The MuthaFunkaz bless us with five gorgeous mixes that combine Heather Johnson's angelic vocal with a deep and soulful yet captivating groove, lovely guitar and lush keys. Chris Brann's more organic 'Ananda Project 12 Edit' goes deeper and adds an atmospheric touch to the track.

Soulfeenix featuring Monday Michiru "Brazilian love affair" (Xtrasolar Records CD Promo)

Soulfeenix takes on the timeless George Duke classic "Brazilian love affair" and delivers a marvelous rendition. His interpretation is a soulful and groovy, funk oozing affair featuring a sultry vocal performance by American-Japanese songstress Monday Michiru alongside lush fender rhodes and fantastic sax solo by Ramon Riera. The bonus track "Vulture funk" is an old school tinged electro-funk instrumental featuring jazzy keys.

JoMar "Yemaya" (Deep'N'Sound Records CD Promo)

JoMar - aka Joe Rizla and Marcelo Cruz - present the inspiring "Yemaya", a deep afro/latin drenched production based on a sweet percussion tribal-ish backing, with the jazzy keys, atmospheric synths and female vocal chants creating a mesmerizing feeling. Joe Rizla's 'Blkey Instrumental' strips the track down for a more intense feel, while Justin Imperiale puts the afro-tribal elements center stage and adds jungle-ish sounds. Finally the 'Deep Cruz Mix' deepens the vibe for a journey into the jungle.

Martin East Project featuring Jared Douglas "Release" (Kapa Music Records CD Promo)

Los Angeles deep house don Martin East joins forces with vocalist Jared Douglas for the gorgeous "Release", including keys from jazz maestro Marconi de Morais. First up is a wonderful funked-up broken beat version featuring jazzy trumpet and heartfelt vocals, followed by deeper than deep vocal and dub mixes featuring phat synth melodies over a moody backdrop. Mr. V's serves wicked bouncy mixes you can't resist to dance to, with the awesome keys creating an uplifting vibe. Also included is a twisted, slightly dark dub by Mike Sarkus & Ralph Session.

Atlantic Starr "Send for me" (Tony Loreto & Master Kev Remix)(MKTL Records CD Promo)

Master Kev and Tony Loreto team up to take on the Atlantic Starr classic "Send for me" (from their 1980 long player "Radiant"). The original is a wonderful ballad that has been given a subtle makeover that stays true to the original, combining the passionate vocals and sweet original orchestration with a fierce yet smooth funktified groove and lovely keys.

Park Street featuring Kaysee "Don't wanna let you go" (Look-At-You Records CD Promo)

"Don't wanna let you go" by UK production team Park Street is an uplifting production featuring soulful vocals by singer Kaysee and catchy synths over a funk drenched backing. The remixes are courtesy of DJ Dealer who sweetens the vibe on his summery jazz-swing vocal and dub mixes, while Edmund goes deep to serve a dreamy dub perfect for late night / early morning play.

James Deron "The EP Vol. 2" (Purple Tracks Records CD Promo)

James Deron follows up last years "The EP" with the second installment featuring "Saxxo", a mesmerizing track featuring a wicked saxophone courtesy of Ismael K and cool synth hooks over a fiercely thumpin' groove. "Your day" features vocals by Stacey King and comes in three different versions that give you the option to play the track at peak time as well in a late night set. "The reason" is an instrumental track perfect for bigger rooms thanks to the catchy synth hooks used, while finally "Bounce of house" is a deep hypnotic track on a techy edge.

Yogi & Husky "Body Language EP" (Salted Music Records CD Promo)

Johann 'Yogi Willenberg & Lawrence 'Husky' Huskinson (also known as Random Soul) return to Salted Music with the multi flavored "Body Language EP" that lets you choose between six tracks destined to cause a stir on the dance floors thanks to the resistless bumpin' grooves and wicked keys and synths used, with deep, tech and funky flavors as well as soulful vocal all to be found on this nice selection.

Marcel Schooler "Peace" (Omi Tutu Records CD Promo)

Louie 'Lou' Gorbea teamsĀ  up with Marcel Schooler for an uplifting message about peace, with the musical backing being on a deep mesmerizing tip, featuring a lovely guitar, sweet percussion elements and great synths alongside Marcel Schooler's spoken words. Duce Martinez is heating things up on his hypnotic rework that makes use of contaminous synth hooks and a heavily stompin' groove, while LoweeR takes you on a deep spaced-out journey on his remix. Lastly Ezel relaxes the vibe on his neat deep house version.

Chris Perez & Louie Gorbea featuring Ms. Patty "R U feeling me" (NiteGrooves Records CD Promo)

Chris Perez and Louie 'Lou' Gorbea team up for the massive underground anthem "R U feeling me" featuring hotter than hot vocals by Ms. Patty over an irresistibly thumpin' groove that goes as deep as it gets, with phat synth chords and keys accompanying Ms. Patty. Tiger Stripes keeps the vibe deep while giving the track a contaminous tribal-ish outfit, with the synths adding a slight techy edge to the track.

Panevino (Sandro Endrighetti & Renato Abate) team up with Malena Perez to deliver a peak time favorite with "Supergirl" that combines sultry vocals with a relentless backdrop and captivating synth melodies. The mixes included are nicely varied, with the original versions being more laidback, while the 'Superforce' mixes go deeper, and then the 'Calling Mothership Mix' gets all hypnotizing.
