Swiss DJ and producer Steven Stone teams up with songstress Nicole Mitchell to present the "Swiss Soul EP" which features three equally fantastic songs titled "No lies", "Show me love" and "Turn it up", all of which are infectious and full of energy yet ooze with a luscious soulful vibe, featuring Nicole Mitchell's unmistakable vocals alongside phat keys and chords over fiery backdrops.

Fiso Da Costa featuring Kele B "Find me" (Sci-Fi Productions CD Promo)

Sci-Fi Productions are going from strength to strength in recent months, and their success will continue for sure with latest project by label head Fiso Da Costa. "Find me" features passionate vocals by Kele B and dramatic synths over a deep electrifying backing. The remixes are courtesy of Sobz, Menu and Lilac Jeans all keeping the vibe deep and contaminous yet soulful while adding their distinctive touch.

Dena Brown "Rip the mic" (D#Sharp Records CD Promo)

The next release on D#Sharp will be the Joe Flame produced "Rip the mic" by Dena Brown, a simple yet truly effective affair built around a bumpin' backdrop which is enriched with Dena Brown's cool vocal stylings and catchy key hooks. The underground-esque 'D#Sharp Remix' is somewhat deeper and adds glorous keys which give the track a lovely melodious touch.

Namy featuring Monday Michiru "There she stands" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)

What a beauty we have here... Namy and Monday Michiru team up on "There she stands", a grandiose production oozing with Monday Michiru's incomparable voice and grand piano solos which are perfectly arranged over a smoothly stompin' percussive backing. On remix duty we have Frankie Feliciano who delivers a masterpiece with his laidback latin flavored remixes oozing with his beloved Ricanstruction sound. Soulful house at its best.

Tomson featuring Thembeka "Darkness into light" (Smooth Agent Records CD Promo)

With "Darkness into light" by Tomson (Tom Lnych), Smooth Agent presents a stellar tech-soul track featuring silky smooth vocals by Thembeka and celestial keys and chords over a deep thrilling rhythms. The remixes are courtesy of NysMiza who enters deepest grounds on his spellbinding version laced with hypnotizing synth melodies and MXM who gives the track a darker more techy feel on his version. Watch out for AtJazz mixes coming soon.

Yet another week passed, so it's time to bring you a selection of the best bootleg edits and mixes we got in the last few days - this time its two beautiful reworkings by Soul'N'Vibes & Hgm. First they take on the wonderful "Hurts like hell" by Angela Johnson (from her album "It's personal"), delivering a truly respectful smoothly stompin' four-to-the-floor rendition that will make you yearn for more of these gorgeous soul-funk soaked vibes. Next is their remix of Brazilian Singer Maria Gadu's "Shimbalaie", taking the song straight to the dance floor by combining the original acoustic instrumentation and unique vocals with driving rhythms and lush synths (there is the choice between two variations, one being on a classic tip while the second is more of a peak time affair).

Miguel Migs "Close your eyes" (OM Records CD Promo)

One of our favorite tracks from Miguel Migs' "Outside the Skyline" album finally gets a full single release, coming your way complete with an incredible selection of remixes. "Close your eyes" features the delicate vocals of the multi talented Meshell Ndegeocello, with the likes of Deetron, Osunlade, Uner, Shades of Gray, Dutchican Soul & Dave Mayer and Alex Gomez & Oriol Calvo adding their distinctive touch to track, with the sounds ranging deep & dubby to sultry & soulful and more, giving you plenty of choices to work the floor.

Moodymanc vs Jamie Finlay "People circulate" (Development Music CD Promo)

Here we've got something a little bit different courtesy of Moodymanc and Jamie Finlay... The original version of "People circulate" is an outstanding slice of down-tempo funk, taken to the next level by Mr. Scruff on his bass heavy interpretation. Moodymanc contributes the four-to-the-floor mixes to the package, adding his distinctive touch to make this something truly special. Don't miss out on this wicked gem that has underground written all over it...

Marco Finotello and Maggie Smile "People get together" (Favouritizm Records CD Promo)

Italian duo Marco Finotello and Maggie Smile make their debut on Favouritizm with the feel good anthem "People get together", a disco-funk inspired house stomper featuring an infectious piano hook alongside grand keys, cool guitar licks and uplifting vocals by Maggie Smile over a contaminous fund soaked backing. Jam-packed floors guaranteed...

Bluey Robinson "Showgirl" (Dave Doyle Remix)(Sony Records CD-R)

After dropping two slammin' remixes for Beverly Knight, Dave Doyle takes on "Showgirl" by Bluey Robinson and turns the song into a feel good anthem using a fiercely stormin' funk drenched backing as playground for Bluey Robinson's unmistakable vocals, wicked guitar, classic strings and classy keys - the result is an uplifting prime time favorite guaranteed to cause a stir on the dance floor.

Let's do something other than usual and review two releases from different artists at once... Both Leader & Yuriano and Lee Tristram are about to release a serious slice of deepness, each of them including three massive tracks oozing with a gorgeous old school touch bringing back memories from the earlier days of house music with their mellow rhythms and lush melodies, with some jazzy flavors thrown in here and there. This is exactly the kind of deep house we at Spirit of House admire - go and check it out...

DJ Ermi "Dolce e Profondo EP Part 2" (Black Vinyl Records CD Promo)

Now lets have a look at some quality underground music courtesy of Italy's DJ Ermi. His "Dolce e Profondo EP Part 2" features three cool tracks, with the first "D.S.P" being a percussive afro-funk flavored affair featuring subtle vocals and a killer jazzy flute. Second we have the groovy "House" fusing familiar samples with fresh sounds and enticing rhythms. Lastly there is "Man a man", a smooth percussive tribal stomper enriched with a sweet guitar and delightful keys and vibes.

Peter Oakden "SambaBeat" (SoulFree Records CD Promo)

But we are not done yet, there is more to discover this week... "SambaBeat" by Peter Oakden is one of those tracks every DJ should have with him all the time. A bed of contagious latin beats lays the foundation for a furious bassline, tremendous jazzy piano and sparse male vocals which altogether create a mesmerizing feel - a track to set the floors ablaze whenever played. Nuff said - go and get it...

Luv City presents Yu "Happy Day! Good Day! EP" (SoundMen on Wax Records CD Promo)

What a blissful musical treat this is... Luv City's "Happy Day! God Day!" is truly inspirational and features sensuous lead vocals by Yu Koyama, the Luv City Voices (background choir) and an outstanding electric piano by Mariko Nakabayashi over a mellow musical backing. Among the four versions is the amazing 21 minute long 'Shinjyuku Mix' and the uber cool old school tinged 'Pianette Dub'. But this is not all as the package includes another beautiful inspirational production in form of the bonus track "Hear my prayer".
