DJ Harris featuring D'vine "Get down" (Peng Africa CD Promo)

Renowned afro-deep label Peng Africa are about to drop their next bomb by DJ Harris who teams up with D'vine to present "Get down", a stirring production built around deeper than deep rhythms which are laced with atmospheric melodies and cool vocals. The remixes by Abwalk, Essential-I and DeepTwelve keep the vibe deep and thrilling, with each of them expressing his own vision and aesthetic of deep house music. One sure to become a favorite with any lover of deep house music...

Stephanie Cooke "It's like nothing" / "Sunshine" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)

Here we have two classic recordings by the one and only Stephanie Cooke reworked for 2012. First up is William 'ReelSoul' Rodriguez' laidback interpretation of her "It's like nothing" (originally released back in 2004 on her "Everything" album) oozing with her unmistakable voice and delectable melodies which are perfectly arranged over a smooth yet captivating backing. Next we have the Cooke Monsterz reworking the Soul Dhamma produced "Sunshine" into a prime time favorite using a bouncy backdrop as playground for the soothing vocals and spacy keys.

Jerk House Connection featuring Niles Thomas "Velvet touch" (Stalwart Records CD Promo)

French soulful house combo Jerk House Connection and pop icon Niles Thomas give us something truly special with "Velvet touch", a production featuring the melancholic yet seductive vocals by Niles Thomas alongside bodacious keys and chords over a deep somewhat moody backing. On remix duty you find such heavyweights as Rocco, Master Kev & Tony Loreto, Hallex M, DJ Rork, DJ Mike & Tess and DJ Elijah giving you plenty of options to work the floor with their unique interpretations of the track. As we said at the beginning, "Velvet touch" is something truly special, and we highly recommend you check it out. Believe us, it will grown on you...

Darryl D'Bonneau "Strong love" (Temple Movement Remix)(New Generation Records CD Promo)

"Strong love" was originally released back in June of this year, now this slice of classic house performed by Darryl D'Bonneau returns in fresh remixes by Temple Movement (Adam Rios & Ruben Toro) who combine Darryl D'Bonneau's inimitable vocals with killer keys by Sean Lucas and their trademark stormin' rhythms. But this is not all as you also get a cool remix by female duo Frances Magliano & Joy Halliday Soon featuring grand piano riffs and spaced-out synths over an intoxicating backing.

DJ Said featuring Reelsoul "Joy til midnight" (Fatsouls Records CD Promo)

DJ Said and William 'ReelSoul' Rodriguez join forces on "Joy til midnight", a marvelous production featuring wicked spoken words by DJ Said and the keyboard wizardry by William 'ReelSoul' Rodriguez (his warm uplifting keys give the track an incomparable warmth) over a deeply groovin' backdrop. The remixes by Alton Miller, Rasoul and Fuminori Kagajo take the song to the next level, with each of them offering a unique soulful rendition of this beauty.

The Antidotes featuring Khanyile Maziya "Soul in me" (Nu Deep Records CD Promo)

South African group The Antidotes make their debut on Nu Deep Records and bless us with the super soulful "Soul in me" featuring beautiful spoken words by Khanyile Maziya alongside sublime keys and chords over smooth laidback rhythms. The remixes are courtesy of Monocles & Slezz, The Objektives and DeepIllusion, all adding their distinctive deep truly soulful touch to the song.

Paso Doble presents Echo Deep "Buy'ekhaya" (Melomania Records CD Promo)

Melomania Records continue to grace us with only the best in underground African house music with "Buy'ekhaya" by Echo Deep, a track built around deeper than deep truly contaminous afro-tribal rhythms and laced with grandiose synth melodies which altogether create a mesmerizing feel you can't resist to dance to. Each of the remixes by G'Sparks, Shun Tyger, Invaders of Africa and Vincemo keeps the vibe utterly deep, with the result being a spellbinding collection of remixes giving you plenty of choices to cause a stir on the floor.

It's time again to bring you a selection of the best bootleg edits and mixes we got in recent weeks... First up we have Mauritzio taking on the legendary 1987 house classic "Promised land" by Joe Smooth which he reworks into a relentless deep house thumper, letting the sultry vocals by Anthony Thomas shine. Next we have Soul'n'Vibes & Hgm taking on Lemar's excellent cover of Al Green's timeless "Let's stay together" (from his 2004 album "Dedicated"), with their fiery four-to-the-floor rendition staying respectful to the original. Last but not least we have Spellband's remorselessly stompin' 4/4 interpretation of India Arie's West African tinged cover of Sade's "Pearls" (from her 2009 album "Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics") that is sure to set the floors on fire.

Exclusive Preview: DJN Project "Shattered dreams" (CD-R)

Incredible as times fly... Back in 1987/1988 I was all over Johnny Hates Jazz' "Turn back the clock" album which includes the wonderful "Shattered dreams", now almost 25 years later we have DJN Project blessing us with their distinguished cover version of this timeless song, featuring deeply felt vocals by Rick Galactik together with warm melodious keys over a contaminous backdrop.

BTK featuring Stee Downes "What it means" (Issa'min Records CD Promo)

Australian based label Issa'min Records present "What it means" by BTK (aka Bali based DJ/producer Billy the Kid) which features passionate vocals by Stee Downes, giant piano riffs and catchy synths over a bouncy backing in the remix by Reelax which is the choice for the bigger rooms. Ananda Project (Chris Brann) relax the vibe on their dreamy remix which combines the vocals with silky smooth melodies and laidback rhythms, while their dub goes deeper and gives the track more mesmerizing feel.
