As we're closing down 2003 with two mixes, it's gonna be a fortnight until you'll get the next update that is coming on January 11.
The Master at Work remixes of Sara Devine's "Take me home" are now commercially available on Giant Step Records, but only two of the three promoed (bootlegged?) mixes are included.

A few weeks back we reported that "Prophecy" by Simon Grey had been picked up by a famous label, but we didn't name it. Now it is time to let you know: Purple Music Records have licensed it and the release is scheduled for january 2004.

Back in August 2002, we reviewed the japanese promo-only 12" of "BLZ" by Mondo Grosso that features hot Bob Sinclar mixes. Now King Street Records have licensed it, so it is finally available to everybody. From their partner label NiteGrooves comes "Latin Lounge III - Part 2" that features

Masters at Work Records announced a whole lot of upcoming releases:

In January 2004, Traxsource will be launched. It is gonna be the MP3 download site dedicated to the House Music enthusiast. It will feature some of the best titles, artists, labels and producers from the soulful house scene.

Watch out for the DFA remixes of Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker" coming soon on Fall Out Records. The DFA boys come up with another soulful rework of a r&b song.
Giant Step Records have done it again and just released "Rocketship" by Donnie including hot Quentin Harris remixes.

Lets's hope you're ready for lots of music this week!!! We've got two mixes of fresh tunes and two mixes of classics - one by yours truly and one by guest DJ Daryl "J" from the USA.
The next release on Tet Kale Records will be "Morena" by DJ Lava. It is on a brazilian beat vibe and features additional music and production by Jephte Guillaume.
Watch out for "Prophecy" by Simon Grey which just has been picked up by a well known label.

Next week, "Classic Grooves Volume 7" will be available. It includes classic gems from the likes of Faze Action, The Black Science Orchestra and 95 North.
The next 12" release on Germany's Underground Solution Records will be "Super lover" by Rawsoul Orchestra featuring Sybille. It will include a remix by John 'Julius' Knight.
DJ Stacey and DJ Pope have been in the studio together recently and produced "Passion" by Imbrya. Watch out for an exclusive preview next week here on SpiritOfHouse.
"Love power" by Stacy Brumell (which has been an exlusive preview here back in August) has been picked up by Bumpin' City Records.

Saturday October 25th will see the next Purple Music Night taking place @ Kaufleuten in Zurich, Switzerland. Jamie Lewis and guest DJ Joey Musaphia (Refunkt Records / UK) together with MC Lady Energy will for sure create a great party not to miss.
Frankie Feliciano will soon launch his own label Ricanstruction Records. The first release will be "My joy" by NuLife featuring Kenny Bobien.

There is a new Classic Mixes page where you can hear sounds from back in the days. This week we bring you a mix that features strictly 80's grooves.
Salsoul Records just started a 12" re-issue series in the UK that will feature a total of 30 releases. All the classic cuts will be part of the series (see picture below). The first six 12" just have been released this week.

One of the tunes doing damage on the dancefloors all over at the moment is the Copyright remix of India's "I can't get no sleep" that is available on CD only so far for the lucky few that could get a copy. The question in mind is will it get released?
Hysteria Records will soon release a cover version of the classic "I found lovin" featuring Keith Thompson on vocals.

The MAESTRO documentation had its premiere here in Zurich/Switzerland past monday. I gotta say that this movie is definitely worth being checked out. Many people that had been involved in the early days of disco/clubs or that simply partied the nights away back then, talk about their memories and also about the ups and downs. It was very interesting to hear insight stories from this passed period.
Philly Groove Records will reopen soon (distributed by SoulFuric). Their first release will include brand new mixes of the First Choice classic "The player" by the legendary Tom Moulton.

A few weeks ago, we changed to the latest version of Real Producer. After we've been getting reports of poor quality of the files, we went back to the older version so the quality should now be back to the higher level.
The next Purple Music Night will take place on Saturday August 30 @ Kaufleuten in Zurich/Switzerland. DJ Jamie Lewis will provide an exclusive six hour set, accompanied by MC Lady Energy. Extras include dance and video animation all night long.

Bobby D'Ambrosio has done a cover version of the Sounds of Blackness classic "Optimistic" that will be released on Definity Records soon after it has already been bootlegged in the UK. It will feature Bobby's mixes alongside a David Morales remix.
Refunkt Records will soon release the 2003 remixes of "Caracho" by Hardsoul, one of last years summer anthems.

In a couple of weeks, Subliminal Records will release Masters at Work and Todd Terry remixes of the massive "I go back" by Harry Romero featuring Robert Owens.
For a couple of weeks now, Kenny Dope's "Frenzy" is available on Dope Wax Records 12". If that is not enough for you, search for a one-sided 12" simply labeled "Frenzy" that features an alternate version that features even more samples from the George Kranz classic "Din da da".
For all the Bob Sinclar fans, there is a six vinyl limited edition boxset of his current lonplayer "III" available on Yellow Records that includes extra mixes.

Natural Resource, a sub-label from Spiritual Life Music, has just re-released the 1992 classic "Awade" from Instant House including mixes by Joe Claussell.

Basement Boys Records have finally released the massive Blaze remixes of Jaster Street Co. "Another day". These mixes have been only available on CD so far, but already caused lots of interest.
SoulFuric Deep Records just started promoting "After the party" by Audiowhores featuring The Blu, their first full production for SoulFuric after they delivered some hot remixes to the label.

Cassio Ware will have his new 12" "Happy birthday" out soon on his own label CassioWare Records. It will include his own mixes as well as a remix by Ruben Toro & Big Moses. A Blaze mix should follow.
John 'Julius' Knight has reworked the Atlantic Starr classic "Circles". No release has been confirmed yet, but this is definitely one to watch out.

"Keys of life" by Jaque, one of my WMC 2003 favorites, has just been released on Jellybean Soul Records. Don't miss this one as this Underground Collective production is contender for song of the year. Watch this space for a review next week.

Subliminal Records indeed hat the tune of the Winter Music Conference with "I go back" by Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero featuring Robert Owens on vocal. Currently doing the rounds on limited one-sided 12" promo, it should be out soon.

KingStreet Records put out Larry Levan mixes of the ManFriday classics "Groove" and "Winners". Both were originally released in 1993.
