WMC 2002 Recap (April 7, 2002)

It all started with a long 11 hour flight from Zurich to Miami. With all necessary security checks and the travel to the hotel in Miami Beach, the travel was around 15 hours long... Once arrived on a clowdy and sometimes rainy late friday afternoon, I hooked up with some of my friends from the big apple New York and from New Jersey that also made it down here. I finally could come all square with my close friend Brother Talipharaoh when I hooked him up with a 'Spirit of House' t-shirt which I promised to give him last year. The party to check out that evening was the Soulfuric party at club Rain that got very crowed early in the morning. Many people made it down there and certainly one of the evenings tunes was "The light" by Michelle Weeks, a Jamie Lewis produced currently around only in very limited supplies on test pressing on Purple Music Records. The feedback for the tune is overhelming, and some of big labels showed interest in licensing it.

This year, the Winter Music Conference took place from Tuesday March 18 to Saturday March 22. Since I was leaving Switzerland already on Friday March 14, I had the whole weekend to relax and get the most out of this vacation. There was Spring Break going on, so nearly on each corner of the streets there were beautiful women. Combined with the nice weather with high temperatures it was a nearly perfect preparation for the conference - beside the thunderstorms that brought rain and heavy winds.

This year, the Winter Music Conference took place from Saturday March 6 to Wednesday March 10 at the Wyndham Resort in Miami Beach, USA. The newM3 Summit took place from March 5 to March 9 in Miami Beach as well. I decided not to register for any of these two conferences.

This year, the Winter Music Conference took place from Tuesday March 22 to Saturday March 26 at the Wyndham Resort in Miami Beach, USA. The M3 Summit took place from March 23 to March 26 in Miami Beach as well. I decided not to register for any of these two conferences.
