House Masters - Todd TerryThe latest installment in the critically acclaimed "House Masters" series welcomes Todd Terry to the illustrious list of pioneering and innovative house music artists (previously featured in the series were Masters at Work, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer, Joey Negro and Heller & Farley to name just a few). This retrospective features early underground tracks such as "A day in the life", "Can you party", "Weekend" and "Bango (to the batmobile)", his classic freestyle cuts "Alright alright" and "Dum dum cry" released under the Masters at Work name which was later brought to stardom by Louie Vega and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales, some of his most famous remixes such as "Missing" by Everything but the Girl or "I'm gonna get you" by Bizarre Inc., global crossover anthems such as "Keep on jumpin'" and "Something goin' on", classic cuts released under different aliases such as Gypsymen, House of Gypsies and Hardhouse, a selection of his more recent work, and much more. Ricky Morrison contributes both a contemporary vocal take that stays true and respectful to the original, and a fired-up dub destined for prime-time play. From David Anthony comes a mesmerizing deep interpretation using a different vocal take that gives the track a pristine underground-esque touch, and finally Soulfuledge delivers a groovey soul infused vocal rendition laced with classic strings, and a raw chunky dub version. Carolyn Victorian & DJ Oji - I can't help itEver since 2003, house music diva Carolyn Victorian and legendary DJ/producer DJ Oji have been taking us on an exhilarating musical journey with their stunning collaborations, many of which are considered seminal timeless house music classics and anthems - just think of  "Everything U want" from 2005, "Dance the night away" from 2009, or more recently "Can't stop loving you" and "Watch my step". Finally the wait for the long anticipated album is over, featuring some of their finest moments from the past as well as brand new material, with all the songs produced by DJ Oji and all vocals performed by Carolyn Victorian (you might even hear a few vocals by DJ Oji here and there as well). From beginning to the end, this is album is all about the unique and pure sound that characterizes the collaboration of this two exceptional highly renowned artists. Highly recommended.

Kyle Kim, Sheree Hicks - All I doEarlier this year, Kyle Kim blessed us with his anthemic rendition of "This is how we do it" (originally recorded by Montell Jordan), now he is back with a breathtaking re-imagination of Stevie Wonder's all time classic "All I do" (from his 1980 album "Hotter than July"). Most definitely, we consider this one of the best interpretations ever of this unforgettable gem, with gentle yet spell binding funktified organic rhythms leading the way for illustrious keys and Sheree Hicks one-of-a-kind deeply felt rendition of the famous lyrics. Label head Luyo contributes a towering, truly elegant and groovy interpretation enriched with a glamorous flute, and last but not least there is the fabulous down-tempo r&b/soul take by Emiliano Marzoli.
