Album Review: Compton "Bristol Boogie" (Peng Records CD Promo)

End of 2011, Andy Compton graced us with the fabulous soul/funk/funk project "Compton's Soul", now he returns with a brand new and entirely different Compton project entitled "Bristol Boogie". This awe-inspiring album is on an eclectic old skool flavored boogie soul tip, featuring retro analogue synths to give the sound an authentic 80's vibe. Similar to the previous Compton project, an illustrious list of renowned vocalists such as Celestine, Katie Leone, Ladybird and Sabrina Chyld and highly talented musicians such as Andy Barton (keys) and Jeff Bass (bass) are featured, not to forget to mention the collaboration with Cape Town soul producer Leighton Moody.
