The best of the rest...

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

We are taken back in time by Deep Woods with "Take me higher" a gorgeous blend of old school elements with the current deep house sounds of today - a gem guaranteed to get people's heads bobbing and feet moving. The remix is courtesy of Detroit staple Rick Wade who takes the track even further into classic house territory (3Bridge Records CD Promo). Next up are Quentin Kane & Simon Sheldon who team up to bring us the "Together EP" loaded with two tracks showcasing their unique wicked old skool inspired truly unadulterated deep and funky underground house sound (Double Cheese Records CD Promo).

From Andy Compton comes the versatile "African King EP", with the title track being an utterly hypnotizing tech flavored afro-deep affair guaranteed to send the floor into a frenzy. The other featured track is the atmospheric "Spacetime", an inebriant deeper than deep acid infused production perfect for late night play (Peng Records CD Promo). DJ Vivona presents "Drink in my cup" the inaugural release for his brand new label Sunlock Records. Undoubtedly, this deep somewhat dark'n'techy track featuring captivating vocals by Ricardo Dyson and acid synths is a sure-fire dance floor weapon. The 'Sunset Mix' gives the track a beautiful melodious feel, Toto Chiavetta reworks the track into a minimalistic afro-tribal affair and lastly Rocco gets electronic on his inexorable take perfect for the bigger rooms (Sunlock Records CD Promo).

To shift gears, The Groovin Beats Ensemble grace us with marvelous truly respectful four-to-the-floor re-imagination of George Benson's "Off Broadway" a killer pop/funk instrumental from his 1980 album "Give me the night". Simply amazing how the original orchestration shines through on this infectiously stompin' gem... (CD-R). "The flute" by Peppe Citarella is a true dance floor delight guaranteed to cause a stir through the thrilling rhythms, mesmerizing flute by Francesco Desiato, 90's inspired keys and dramatic strings. The 'Afro Mix' takes you straight to the motherland with relentless afro-tribal rhythms and wicked African chants (Tony Records CD Promo).

We stay in South Africa, introducing you to the breathtaking "Deep in Afrika" EP by Rhythm Soul which includes five equally massive deepalicious productions, each one guaranteed to touch your body and soul thanks to enticing melodies and compelling rhythms (Uno Mas Recordings CD Promo). We stay in the motherland with "The jungle jazz" by Double Trouble, a truly glamorous slice of jazz infused afro-deepness laced with a grandiose jazzy piano that blends the best of old school house with new school deep house (Uno Mas Recordings CD Promo).
