KP Deep Mesh "Changes in my Soul EP" (Gotta Keep Faith Records CD Promo)

We've first heard of KP Deep Mesh aka Khumbulani when Gotta Keep Faith Records included his deep house gem "Warning" on their "WMC Miami Sampler 2013", now he returns to the label with the "Changes in my Soul EP" which features the vocal talents of L Messuli (with additional vocals by Mbalenhle Buda on "Oh my love"). Each of the five songs of this EP (if you missed "Warning" the first time around you can get it as part of this EP) oozes with utterly soulful yet spell binding deep house rhythms and  glamorous melodies, not to forget to mention the deeply rooted vocals by L Messuli. Miss it at your own risk...

Grupo X "Reach" (Soundz Dynamik CD Promo)

Here we have something truly special by Grupo X, a combo formed by trombonist/keyboardist Jonny Enright in the the late 90's. The uplifting "Reach" is a top-notch soul/jazz/funk/latin inspired production oozing with a masterly orchestration and phenomenal vocals by the one and only Lisa Millett. Dominic Dawson transforms this glorious song into an inexorable yet smooth four-to-the-floor affair that stays true to the original yet is spreading a feel good vibe you can't resist to dance to.

Legendary Basement Boys member Neal Conway blesses us with a truly exhilarant interpretation of "Reminiscing", the biggest hit of Australian rock bank Little River Band which dates back to 1978 and is taken from their album "Sleeper catcher". He combines the original music and vocals with his beloved old school inspired four-to-the-floor rhythms and sounds - the result is the ingenious 'Nasty Man Re-Touch' which stays true and  respectful to the original yet gives this classic a contemporary feel which unquestionably will leave a spell on you.
