Peven Everett - Show you why Chicago soul legend Peven Everett is about to take over dance floors with his latest offering "Show you why" on Tribe Records, a funk soaked bass heavy production that is remorselessly groovin' from beginning to the end. The remixes are coutesy of Zepherin Saint who emphasizes the funky vibes and enriches the song with fantastic horns, keys and chords to take it to a whole new level. Last but not least, there is DJ Hypnosis' deep and fierce yet melodious rework of the Groove Assassin produced "This time" by the one and only Stephanie Cooke.

Various "Miami 2010 (Traxsource Edition)" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)

In recent years, many labels did release special "Miami/WMC Samplers" to hype their upcoming releases, but looking back, only a very few of these samplers were actually worth the money (to say the least). Thankfully, KingStreet have done their homework and put together a great package full of fresh soulful tunes that can be recommended unconditionally. From the killer tribal track "Auris" by Tuccillo & Kiko Navarro over the gorgeous "Piece of heaven" by Fuminori Kagajo featuring Adeola Ranson, the glorious "This time" by Lips featuring Bongi Mvuyana to the more traditional "Take me" by Soulstar Syndicate featuring Dawn Tallman, all seven included tracks are pure quality.

Justin Imperiale "Call of the Drum EP" (Cabana Records CD Promo)

The three track "Call of the Drum EP" by Justin Imperiale takes you to deepest imaginable Afro House grounds, with the tracks making use of relentless percussion elements and drums, synths and vocal chants to create an absolutely irresistible, mesmerizing feel on the dance floor you can't resist to dance to. Simple and deep yet utterly effective.

Stephanie Cooke "Old friend" (Gotta Keep Faith Records CD Promo)

Stephanie Cooke debuts on one of the finest house music labels, Gotta Keep Faith Records, with the superb "Old friend" where she blesses us with a silky smooth vocal and meaningful lyrics. SuSu Bobien "You don't know" (MuthaFunkaz Remixes)(Strictly Rhythm Records CD Promo)

The 1998 gospel house anthem produced by M.A.S. Collective (Andreino Arcangeli & Sandro Russo) and performed by legendary house diva SuSu Bobien returns in fresh remixes by DJ Spen who gives us the choice between a classic soulful stomper, underground-esque re-rub's and slightly tougher mixes to rock the main rooms.

Jack & The Jerk "Miss me" (Part 1)(MoD Records CD Promo)

The soulful "Miss me" is as funky as it gets, oozing with an organic live feel created by a wonderful instrumentation including killer piano and guitar alongside captivating vocals by Sanja Shane over an infectious groove. The remix is courtesy of MoD & Staffan Thorsell who keep it funky and soulful while giving the track a chunkier feel to guarantee peak time rotation.

This smokin' sampler from Baldeelox Records will get lots of plays at the upcoming Winter Music Conference for sure, thanks to the dreamlike tracks included. Tommy Largo goes deep and groovy on "Don't you ever", while on Scott Watson's "Side effect" its the sweet funky flavors that will grab your attention. "Keep on movin'" by Castlebed is a somewhat moody jazz-funk drenched deep house gem, taken to deeper tech-soul grounds by Diem on his remix.

Here we have fresh mixes of the deep and dreamy "Moody" by Iva & Small which features sounds of the ocean breeze and children at play, originally released back in late 2009. South Africa's Kat la kat turns the track into a deeply stormin' atmospheric burner, while Andrew Chibale's laidback take is a beautiful groovy affair. Junior White DJ injects extra energy while keeping the overall feel soulful on his orbital remix.
