Brown Sugah "The gathering" (CyberJamz Records CD Promo)

Last year in August, we introduced you to "The gathering" by Brown Sugah, a true dancers delight. The unrivaled inspirational spoken word poetry by Brown Sugah is taken to the next level on these brand new remixes by the likes of DJ Spax-vybz, DJ Nastor, Sheldon So Goode and Kafele (who impresses with his trumpet play on his interpretation) all adding their signature mesmerizing deep/afrotastic touch, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version. Deep House Pick #1: Roy Ananda "Eclipse" (Magnolia Street Records CD Promo)

"Eclipse" by Roy Ananda is the inaugural release from Jakarta (Indonesia) based label Magnolia Street Records, and what a beauty it is... This deep house gem was inspired by the total lunar eclipse from past March and uses gentle yet irresistibly thumpin' rhythms as playground for empyreal synth melodies and a glamorous organ, altogether spreading a hypnotizing feel guaranteed to put a spell on you.

Deep House Pick #2: Various "Serie Limitee 006" (Serie Limitee Records CD Promo)

Before we get into the review, a note about this release to make sure you won't miss out on it if you're interested: Serie Limitee Records is a vinyl-only label with very limited quantities and no re-press of its releases. "Serie Limitee 006" will be pressed on 180g heavy vinyl and is limited to 250 copies. This time the label pays respect to Chicago and has signed the marvelous unadulterated deep house pearl from legendary Jordan Fields entitled "Parlez-vous underground" - a truly glorious journey to the deep which is our favorite track on this EP. But lets not forget the other inspiring tunes by Uncle Deep, 99letters and Jemaho all keeping the vibe deep and pristine as well - they are all fantastic underground-esque tracks too. Finally, as always in this series, a mysterious bonus track by label manager Monsieur Cedric is included - believe us, this one is a killer...
