Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

iDP (Thomas Gregorski) gives us "Journey" and "Follow it", two ingenious tracks oozing with a seminal truly melodious contemporary deep house sound. The release comes complete with stellar remixes by Gene King and Miguel Graca (Release The Pressure CD Promo). "The bush" by Richie the DJ is a ruthlessly thumpin' affair laced with cool spoken word poetry and spaced-out synths, not to forget to mention the amazing remix by Doc Link who injects his signature funked-up sounds (Dub Kollectiv Recordings CD Promo).

Brock 'The Disco King' Landers is back with "The Bad Guy" EP which includes three tracks which bring the unforgettable sound of Disco from yesteryear back to the dance floor. Drop any of these remorseless yet at the same time silky smooth tracks and watch the dancers go crazy on the dance floor... (Modulate Goes Digital CD Promo). Genetic Rhythm (Karl Lambert & Tony Pugh) present "Generic", an energetic somewhat tough and yet melodious deep house track on a moody tip. The wicked dub relaxes the vibe and introduces lush warm pads to give the track a delectable late night feel (Get Down Grooves CD Promo).

"Be Me" by Kong Project is a truly inspiring remake of the Night Writers 1987 house music classic "Let the music you" which features dazzling vocals by songstress Sheree Hicks and dulcet melodies over deeply groovin' rhythms (Maison Records CD Promo).
