Sakura & Co. "Rejoyce" (Sean McCabe Remixes)(KingStreet Records CD Promo)

Sakura & Co. - Rejoyce Seldom did the term "uplifting anthem" fit better than on this production by Japanese artist Sakura & Co. who team with spiritual choir singer Sharon Brown Adams. These masterful remixes by Sean McCabe are truly infectious and feature spiritual gospel tinged vocals alongside gorgeous piano and keys over a fiery backdrop, altogether creating a hands-in-the-air feel you can't resist to dance to. Serious deepness here on the formidable "Corner Kick EP" by Japanese producer FKCS, including the mesmeric "Come unto me" in three equally great yet versatile versions, the deep contagious tech-soul "We can make it" and two fresh Chris Forman remixes of the marvelous "Magic" which features incredible keys and chords over a resistless backing - the 'Dubphonic Reprise Dub' is pure musical bliss !!

What a wonderful interpretation of this song (originally written by Kevin Hedge & Josh Milan and performed by Sybil) by Jellybean, with the one and only SuSu Bobien blessing us with a heartfelt vocal performance, supported by Mena Keys on keyboards. Jellybean & Mena Keys give the track an uplifting and energetic yet soulful vibe on their take, while Scott Wozniak's remix is the choice for peak time play thanks to a relentlessly kickin' groove and wicked synths.

We are proud to present you two exclusive productions from South Africa courtesy of Khulekani 'Koulz' Mncube and Slim T -  their raw underground feel immediately grabbed our attention. "Deeper roots" by Khulekani 'Koulz' Mncube goes as deep as it gets, with the lush keys and chords together with the infectious percussion enriched backing creating a hypnotic vibe. The contaminous "The flower in your garden" by Slim T uses a smoothly thumpin' groove as playground for delicious melodies to create a mesmerizing feel. We are sure we'll here much more from these two talented producers in the future.

Doobie J featuring Diana Waite "Reach yourself" (Daddy Funk Records CD Promo)

A few weeks ago, we gave you an exclusive preview of this release, now the full package landed on our desk. The original is funky and soulful, letting Diana Waite's sensitive vocals shine while the sweet guitar and jazzy keys create a summery feel. Coco De Mar uses luscious keys and chords over a deep'n'smooth backing on his uber cool remix, while Soul de Marin contributes both a deep funked-up rework as well as a sexy 'Ibiza Dub'. Mojito's take is a pounding affair loaded with phat keys, while Robert Rivera & Nicolas Bassi take the track to the main room with their electrofied mixes.

"Find my way" by Andy Ward is an uplifting, sun drenched production featuring outstanding vocals by the highly talented Nica Brooke and melodious keys over a smooth yet fierce organic backing. Shane D's funk soaked rework is truly resistless and features wicked guitar and keys, while Random Soul inject the track with the trademark warm bumpin' sounds.

At one point, Strictly Rhythm had planned a remix project for "My family depends on me" by Simone, but sadly it has been cancelled so the fresh new mixes of this timeless classic from 1991 will not get a release. Mauritzio has treated the original respectfully, with his interpretations being deep and infectious, featuring the unmistakable vocals of Simone and freaky keys and chords over a tech-soul flavored backing. It would have definitely been worth putting these mixes out...

Thomas De Lorenzo featuring Natasha Watts "Nite time" (ReelGroove Records CD Promo)

On "Nite time", Thomas De Lorenzo teams up with singer Natasha Watts to present an irresistibly stompin' funk dripping gem oozing with deeply felt vocals and exquisite keys on the original version, while the 'Silverlake Vocal' gets deeper and features a classy piano. Dutchican Soul's organic interpretation is a lively affair, while Distant People turn the track into a peak time favorite using phat keys and a stormin backdrop.

Cabana Records follow up the marvelous Said-So remixes of Aphreme's "Come a lil closer" with two releases guaranteed to become late night, early morning favorites. First up is the truly deep afro-tech styled "Woodoo lag" by Maurizio Baiocchi, a hypnotic track featuring intoxicating vocals and chants by Ady Thioune along with spacy synths. Second is Fabrizio Ortella who presents the two utterly deep afro flavored tracks "Noise complaint" and "Radical alternative", both spreading an absolutely remorseless feel on the dance floor with their percussion enriched, impulsive grooves and lush keys.
