Junior White & Noelle "Stay" (Favouritizm Records CD Promo)
There ain't no stopping for the team of Junior White and Noelle as every couple of months they present a soulful gem that is not to be missed. "Stay" is a truly heartfelt song, featuring Noelle's unmistakable emotive vocals alongside melodious keys and funky guitar licks over a warm funk drenched backing groove. On remix duty we have the legendary John Morales of M&M who contributes an 80's boogie infused interpretation laced with a superb piano solo and celestial keys, while MKTL (aka Master Kev and Tony Loreto) take us back to early 90's house on their remix fueled with epic strings and classy keys. Not to forget to mention the feel good piano laden dub by Junior White.
JoVonn and Jeremias Santiago "Nite Shift EP (Music for love)" (Deeptrax Digital CD Promo)
This is the second release on Deeptrax Digital, a brand new label destined to become a favorite with any lover of soulful/deep house music alike. The "Nite Shift EP" by JoVonn and Jeremias Santiago has originally been released on vinyl on NextMoov Traxx Records back in 2004, now for the first time these classic tracks are available in digital format. JoVonn's "Seven wonders of house" is all about jazzy keys over a deep and laidback groove, while on "JoVonn madness" he goes for a broken beat groove that oozes with his signature deepness, coupled with wicked keys. Finally, Jeremias Santiago delivers the gorgeous jazzy composition "F.T.L (for the love)" loaded with sublime keys and chords.
Dolls Combers "Music for your Soul" (Dolls Combers Records CD Promo)
Italy's Dolls Combers (Vincenzo Lacerenza, Manuele Tigani and Pino Di Pietro) present the second release on their own label Dolls Combers, following up their previous smash "I'm in love" with the virtuoso "Music for your Soul" EP. First up is the heavenly "Nathan" featuring fantastic jazzy piano and classy saxophone by James Vargas over smooth rhythms, then there is the dreamlike "Father" featuring beautiful guitar, epic strings and illustrious keys over an organic backing, and last but not least we have the uplifting "You got samba" using a latinesque backdrop for paramount keys and chords.
Steven Stone & Nicole Mitchell "Turn it up" (Soul Deluxe Records CD Promo)
"Turn it up" is the third and final single lifted from Steven Stone and Nicole Mitchell's massive "Swiss Soul EP" released in October of last year. Besides the fiery original version, there is an ultra strong selection of remixes by the likes of Andrea Carissimi, Sole Essential, Pad Beryll and Central Avenue included, each of them adding his distinctive touch to give you a variety of differently styled equally great interpretations to work the floor at any time of the day or night.
Kenny Bobien & Swift of DJN Project "What a way" (Sugar Groove Records CD Promo)
Back in June of last year, the eternal "What a way" was released, a song that became an instant classic thanks to Kenny Bobien's unmistakable falsetto vocals, glorious melodies and a smooth yet thrilling four-to-the floor backdrop. Now this wonderful song returns on Swift of DJN Project's brand new label Sugar Groove. The first part includes the timeless original version, Carlos Vargas deepened laidback take which is built around percussive rhythms and features grand jazzy keys, an utterly soulful interpretation by Jeremias 'FTL' Santiago and a heated-up workout by Juan Sanchez perfect for peak time play.
Wipe The Needle featuring CT Martin "Count on me" (Soundmen on Wax Records CD Promo)
One month after we exclusively reviewed Thomas Toccafondi's remix, the official promo of "Count on me" by Wipe the Needle has landed on our desk. The soulful "Count on me" features heartfelt vocals by CT Martin alongside lush keys and chords over deeply groovin' funked-up rhythms, altogether spreading an uplifting feel you can't resist to dance to. Christopher Cross delivers a gorgeous remix combining CT Martin's vocals with jazzy piano and delectable keys.
Black Mamba "Africa 2012" (Part 2)(Smooth Agent Records CD Promo)
Here we have fresh remixes of Black Mamba's massive track "Africa", with label head Sean Smith turning the track into an afro beat inspired relentlessly groovin' floor filler complete with afrotastic percussion, wicked bass guitar and grand horn section. Next is Chicago's Bruce Rodgers aka Union Effect who reworks the track into a smooth yet contaminous deep house affair oozing with delicious melodies, followed by Kanu whose 'Venom Mix' gives the track a rougher underground-esque feel.
From P60 with Lisa Shaw "Magic" (KingStreet Records CD Promo)
Hungary's Zoltan Nagy aka From P60 joins forces with songstress Lisa Shaw for "Magic", a super sweet production coupling Lisa Shaw's dulcet vocals with melodious keys and deep laidback rhythms. The package includes an exquisite selection of remixes by Chuck Love who gives the track a warm organic feel, William 'Harley' Cataldo & Flavio 'Muscle' Romaniello (better known as Harley & Muscle) who contribute two fantastic deep soulful interpretations, Jon Silva who further deepens the vibe on his soul-tech rework, and finally there is Zoltan Nagy's own 'Headloop Remix' giving the track are more tech-laden feel.
Cocoared & Soulplate featuring Charmaine "Supa soldier" (Kula Records CD Promo)
Previously featured on Kula Records' "Miami Sampler 2012", the uplifting summery "Supa soldier" by Soulplate gets a welcome single release complete with remixes. Soulpate's 'Midnight Mix' is a groovey affair featuring sultry vocals by Cocoared and Charmaine alongside lush keys over funk drenched rhythms, while their 'Deeper Dub' is a captivating deep house workout. On remix duty we have Colin Sales whose vocal version is on a deep somewhat moody tip, with the dub adding some extra techy elements, and Union Effect serve a smoothly thumpin' rework laced with luscious keys.
Roberto De Carlo featuring Joshua "One" (Purple Music CD Promo)
Swiss DJ/producer Roberto De Carlo and singer Joshua bless us with "One", the latest in a series of highly successful collaborations over the past few years. Originally included on the "Purple Music ADE Sampler 2011", "One" is a beautiful old school flavored production featuring deeply felt vocals by Joshua and phat keys over a smooth yet contaminous funk drenched backing. The remix is courtesy of Richard Earnshaw who injects some wicked 80's flavors to give the track a remorseless bumpin' feel sure to jam pack the floor.
