Christina Aguilera just released her new album "Lotus" a few weeks ago, to celebrate the release a remix competition for the first single "Your body" was run which caused lots of drama as the winning remix is sounding very close to another song by Calvin Harris. Thankfully there are is this wicked underground-esque remix by Sveva & Speakdeep who give the song a deep spell binding old school inspired feel, with driving rhythms leading the way for celestial synth melodies and Christina Aguilera's unmistakable vocals.

In late September of this year, we were celebrating Peven Everett's sensational "Black boy" produced by Swiss DJ's/producers Mark Stone and Terry Lex. We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what's going on outside of the world of vocal house music (which has been the focus area of the site for a while now), we decided to add a new section to the bottom of the reviews page for other noteworthy releases...

We are kicking this week selection of with the "Box Drop EP" by in demand producers/remixers Sean McCabe & Groove Assassin, an amazing EP oozing with nothing but the best in groovey, truly soulful old skool inspired underground house music (Room Control Records). Next we have "Everybody dance" by DJ MFR for you, a groovylicious take on the unforgettable BB&Q Band classic "On the beat" - put on your disco shoes and dance into daylight... (Transport Recordings).

Gorgeous atmospheres combined with deep spell binding rhythms make the original of "Binary essence" a late night favorite, to be found on the "Binary Essence EP" by Universal Solution (DCS Trax Records).
