The best of the rest...
We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...
Kerri Chandler's "Bar a thym", one of the definitive house tracks of all time originally released back in 2005, is back for more dance floor action in brand new stellar remixes by Dbow, Osbourne & Anderson (O&A), Lewis Lastella, Asle and The Deepshakerz. Also included are the original version and previously released remixes by Dzeta N'Basile & Ivo Toscano and Supernova (NiteGrooves Records CD Promo). "I can never get enough" by Rhemi (the duo of Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk) is a dizzying deep house track laced with enchanting atmospheric synth melodies over deeply groovin' utterly infectious rhythms. The track is taken to the next level on the 'Future Acid Mix', a truly mind-blowing slice of acid infused, old school inspired deep house music (Rhemi Music CD Promo).
Next we have Justin Imperiale's fabulous remix of "Sum Funk in Jazz" by TekniQ (the original was released on the "The Journey Continues" EP released earlier this year), a masterly crafted deep'n'gentle re-imagination built around sweet percussive rhythms and luxurious keys and chords which give track a beautiful dreamy feel (Cabana Recordings CD Promo). South African DJ/producer Bongani Bongzin Mbatha presents "It starts here", a truly eclectic EP which features six equally wonderful afro-deep productions perfectly showcasing the many different styles and the unique sound of this up and rising producer hailing from the motherland (Smooth Agent Africa CD Promo).
We stay in South Africa with the "Punk Carnival EP" by the JayMoss Crew which features two brilliant seductive deep house productions. Both tracks feature glamorous melodious keys over deep dulcet yet captivating rhythms, altogether spreading a ladiback feel perfect for late night, early morning play (Ohyea Muziq CD Promo). Zimbabwe's Skaiva graces us with the "No Vocal EP" loaded with not less than seven mind-boggling afro deep tracks, each one fueled with inebriant melodies over enthralling rhythms. To cut a long story short, each of the tracks is a sure-fire late night bomb... (Khaya Lyf Records CD Promo).
Tamashi and Frankie J join forces for "Blow your mind", a track that will do exactly what its title suggests... Quite simply, the deeper than deep utterly hypnotizing afro-percussive rhythms together with the killer jazzy organ and empyreal synth melodies are guaranteed to jam-pack the floor... Beside the 'Afro Key Mix' and 'Afro Dub Mix', the release features the 'Dark Mix' and 'Dark Trumpet Mix' which give the track a moodier somewhat dark feel perfect for late night play (Toupee Records CD Promo).
