Ian Friday combines the unmistakable vocals by Marty Thomas with his trademark infectious yet soulful organic rhythms, sweet guitars and killer keys. The result is a wonderful song full of emotion and positive energy.

Various "AfroBrazil EP" (Grooveland Music Records CD Promo)

To celebrate the 2010 world cup, Grooveland Music has put together the "AfroBrazil EP" which unites music influences from Africa and Brazil. A total of six tracks are included, with Yotam Avni kicking things off with the deeper than deep afro infused "See mi dub". Next is "Quero falar" by Azee Project, a dark tech-soul track which is followed by Trancemicsoul's atmospheric "Simmons to sync", a synth heavy peak time favorite. DJ Rico contributes "Musica (Brazil groove)", a laidback latinesque track featuring sultry vocals, while "Angola" by DJ DD is all about wonderful keys and a contagious groove. Completing the package is Haldo's "The latin dream", a jazzed-up fiercely stompin' latin/samba track.

Pad Beryll featuring Andrea Love "Under your spell" (ReelGroove Records CD Promo)

"Under your spell" by Pad Beryll is a summery production featuring lush keys, classy horns and passionate vocals by Andrea Love over a funk drenched, smoothly stompin' backdrop. Souldynamic give the song a groovy yet uplifting funk infused feel, while Jonny Montana & Craig Stewart serve one of their best remixes to date full of their beloved jazzed-up organic sounds. Lastly, Thomas Toccafondi takes the track to the main room on his edgy electrofied rework.

DJN Project & Nef Nunez featuring Joell Ortiz "Be with me" (SOLE Channel Records CD Promo)

DJN Project (aka Ruben Vidal and Rick Galactik) are going from strength to strength, teaming up with hip-hop rising star Joell Ortiz on their latest project entitled "Be with me". The original is an old-school hip-house styled affair featuring the unique vocal stylings of Rick Galactik and the lyrical skills of Joell Ortiz. On the remix tip, Mr. V & Reelsoul get deep and hypnotic (with a slight reminiscence to the Masters at Work remix of Afro Celt Sound System's "Release"), Bradford James invites you on a trippy dub and lastly Nef Nunez serves an intriguing party anthem.

Steven Stone featuring Anthony Moriah "Lay your hands" (Soul Deluxe Records CD Promo)

Steven Stone presents the magnificent "Lay your hands" featuring singer Anthony Moriah (who sadly passed away end of September 2009). "Lay your hands" is an uplifting production featuring heartfelt gospel tinged vocals and phat keys over a relentless backing. DJ Meme turns the track into a Philly-Disco styled anthem, while Davide Fiorese & Sisco serve a fiery piano fueled rework. Next is Andrea Carissimi's contaminous interpretation on a classic funktified tip, followed by Mustafa's soulful rather laidback take.

Three mixes to choose from, with both the main mix and 'Freedom Mix' being deeply thumpin' affairs full of energy, while the stripped back 'Raw Mix' is on a deeper laidback tip.

Here we've got more dope deepness courtesy of Joe Rizla and his Black Keys Music imprint. "Birchmount 17" is spreading a hypnotic feel through the deep minimal groove and compelling synths and chords. "Birchmount 17A" is a great alteration that gives the track a more melodic touch while keeping the overall feel deep and contaminous.

Matthias Heilbronn & Joeski present "Afrique EP" (Pata De Perro Records CD Promo)

Right in time for the 210 world cup, Matthias Heilbronn and Joeski present the "Afrique EP" featuring two ingenious afro tribal tracks. The title track "Afrique" in its original version is a deep percussive track laced with mesmerizing vocals and chants and wicked keys. 'Mattys World Cup Mix' is slightly tougher and adds a techy edge to the track. "Raindance" is raw and primal as it gets, taking you straight to the jungle with grunts and moans and spacy synths. 'Mattys Gymnopedie No.1 Mix' is a housey take of the track with additional chants and classic piano.
