The latest offering from South Africa's Do It Now Recordings is "Dance" by Benklawk and Mabutan, an expertly crafted soulful production featuring the incredible vocals of Tshepo King alongside dreamful melodies and deeply groovin' rhythms. The cherry on top are the stellar remixes by Jude Brown and MR KG both adding their signature touch, keeping the vibe soulful yet intriguing.

Wheeler del Torro presents Sidney Washington "The merchant" (Kenny Carpenter Remix)(TR Records Promo)

Back in February, we introduced you "The merchant" by Wheeler del Torro, the first release from his "Cultural Detectives" project (an innovative historical art experiment that harnesses the power of music, bringing unheard poems and stories of slaves to life by combining them with modern music) which featured interpretations by David Harness and Paul Adam. Out soon on TR Records is a brand new truly dazzling rework by Kenny Carpenter who combines the powerful poem by Juan Francisco Manzano with lush jazzy keys, glorious organ and a smooth yet infectious funked-up backdrop. The Paul Adam remix and acappella complete the package.

WrightVibes featuring Mr. V "Escuchame" (Sole Channel Music Promo)

Sole Channel Music just put out the undoubtedly wicked "Escuchame" by WrightVibes (the duo of David Vibes Tobon and Michael M-Dubb Wright) and Mr. V, a sure-fire dance floor bomb featuring the unmatched spoken words of Mr. V, alluring keys, inebriant chords and gentle yet thrilling deeply thumpin' rhythms. South Africa's DJ Thes-Man & Tobetsa Lamola contribute a downright hypnotizing afro-deep interpretation sure t to cause a stir on the dance floor.

Steven Stone & Andrea Love "Moon and stars" (Soul Deluxe Recordings Promo)

Renowned Swiss DJ/producer Steven Stone joins forces with the one and only Chi-Town songstress Andrea Love for "Moon and stars" (the follow-up to their previous hit single "Beautiful love"), a phantasmagorical soulful production using a smooth organic musical backing as foundation for exquisite keys, classy horns, sweet guitars and Andrea Love's inimitable inspiring vocals.

Coming soon to Soul N Pepa Records is "La vida nice" by Systemfunk (Robin Orlando, Al Nandez & Boris B) which features the vocal talents of Aqeel (Glen Anthony Henry). "La vida nice" is verily uplifting and enticing, featuring uber cool vocals by Aqeel and enchanting melodies over a spell binding organic backdrop. The alternate 'Rap Mix' adds a female rap to the track, while the 'Acapella Lounge Mix' strips the track back to the vocals and synths.

We are closing this weeks update with the towering Pablo Fierro re-imagination of the iconic "Mona ki ngi xica" by Bonga (the original version be found on his album "Angola 72" released back in 1972) which keeps the spirit and vibe of the original alive yet gives the song a distinguished and truly temping afrotastic four-to-the-floor feel sure to send shivers down your spine.
