Ben Westbeech "Something for the weekend" (Part 2)(Strictly Rhythm Records CD Promo)
Only one week after introducing you to Ben Westbeech's beautiful "Something for the weekend" produced by Enzyme Black (Danny J Lewis), we bring you part two full of slammin' remixes which take the song to the next level. First up is Joey Negro who adds his unmistakable magical Disco-House touch to the song, letting you choose between equally great vocal and dub versions. Next are Lee Foss & Robert James who deepen the vibe on their illustrious spaced-out version, while finally The Revenge contribute two spell binding floor friendly dubs.
Lee Tristram & Co. featuring Anomaly J "Sound of the rain" (Sounds of Lee Records CD Promo)
"Sound of the rain", the fourth release for Sounds of Lee, is a brilliant deep house production by Lee Tristram that features sultry female spoken words by Anomaly J and grand keys over a laidback yet contaminous old school flavored groove. PowderSoul, Rob Redford, Blackwax, Roozy and Dan Broad are responsible for the remixes, with each of them giving us his perception of deep house and its many different flavors - its simply impossible to pick a favorite... One of the best deep house releases we've heard in a long time - miss it at your own risk.
Distant People featuring Mona Bode "Time" (Solid Ground Records CD Promo)
"Time" by Distant People was previously featured on the "2011 Summer Sampler", now this wicked production which features the spoken word poetry of Mona Bode and jazzy keys over a fiercely thumpin' backing is here in its full glory. The remixes are courtesy of Jonny Montana & Craig Stewart who inject their beloved jazzy organic touch, followed by Danny Clark & Jay Benham who take us back in time with their classy old-school rework on a deep tip. Last but not least, Soul Renegades grace us with their mesmerizing deeper than deep interpretation laced with delicious jazzy keys and lush chords.
Carlos Vargas featuring Nicole Mitchell "Missing you" (Solid Ground Records CD Promo)
Initially featured on Solid Ground's "2011 Miami Sampler", Carlos Vargas' wonderful "Missing you" is finally getting a full release. Featuring outstanding vocals by Nicole Mitchell, "Missing you" oozes with a timeless Disco-Funk inspired feel and luscious keys that will you make yearn for more - soulful house at its best. Danny Clark & Jay Benham deliver a groovy deep dub fueled with a killer organ and dulcet chords. Next we have Groove Assassin serving both an infectious deep version featuring sublime keys and a percussive tribal-esque stomper taking you to deepest grounds with its hypnotizing rhythms and melodies.
Circle of Funk featuring Lifford "Feelin' it" (Slapped Up Soul CD Promo)
After dropping the incredible "Connections EP" in March, Circle of Funk return with yet another musical gem. "Feelin' it" is an infectious deep house track spreading a raw underground-esque feel though the remorselessly bouncin' rhythms, phat keys and captivating vocals by the highly talented Lifford - one guaranteed to cause a stir on the floor. Nuff said.
Lulo Cafe featuring Nothende "I wanna love you" (Ocha Records CD Promo)
Back in April we introduced you to the brand new Ocha Mzansi label with our review of the "Ocha presents Ocha Mzansi - Promo Sampler", now the label presents more musical bliss with the second single lifted from the sampler. "I wanna love you" by Lulo Cafe features deeply felt vocals by Nothende alongside delectable jazzy keys over a deep yet smooth backing. The remixes take the track to the next level, with The Layabouts reworking the track into a truly deep mesmerizing affair, just to be taken even deeper by Manoo on his utterly irresistible remix. Also included is the Cecil's remix which was featured on the sampler - this one became an instant DJ favorite not least because of an amazing piano solo by Josh Milan.
Placidic Dream featuring Wendy Jane Satchell "Love so strong" (MuSol Records CD Promo)
Once again MuSol deliver the goods with this wonderful sun drenched production by Placidic Dream oozing with outstanding vocals by Wendy Jane Satchell, lush jazzy melodies and smooth rhythms. Add remixes by Rob Hayes, Mikki Funk, Mojito & Brian Shano and Regroove who all keep the vibe truly soulful while adding their unique touch, but this is not all as DJ Hypnosis serves a somewhat moody deeper than deep slice of hypnotizing blissfulness.
Stereo Mutants featuring Jermaine "Always about you" (Mutated Music CD Promo)
Stereo Mutants are back in full swing with "Always about you", a gorgeous blend of intoxicating deep rhythms with delectable melodies and passionate vocals by Jermaine Dalrymple. Their own dub goes deeper and gives the track a luscious late night feel, while Mr. Moon turns out a groovy interpretation oozing with a laidback soul-funk vibe. Pasha Nofrost intensifies the feel for peak time action, while FFrika & Clemzie toughen the vibe on their tribal-esque affair.
Dave Storm featuring Simone Moreno "Sundance" (2011 Remixes)(Ceremony Records CD Promo)
In summer of 2007, we were dancing to Dave Storm's "Sundance" which features sweet and sexy sing along vocals by Simone Moreno and a marvelous guitar by Jorma Puusaag. Now this summery production returns with fresh remixes by Dave Storm himself, Ricky Inch, Jason Cheiron, Groove Cartell, Mastercris and Kyka to once again set the dance floors ablaze. Also included is the massive Spiritchaser remix from the original 2007 release.
Shane D featuring Kerry Wood "Silence" (2011 Remixes)(Daddy Funk Records CD Promo)
In late 2009, Shane D took on the old club anthem "Silence" by Delirium to deliver his very own interpretation, featuring a wonderful vocal performance by Kerry Wood. Now right in time for summer 2011 Daddy Funk drop a package loaded with brand new remixes - not all of them for the soulful heads but some you should check out. Seb Skalski gives the track a sun drenched latinesque touch, while Ray Paxon & DJ Groove serve an enticing deep workout build around a bumpin' backdrop. Shane D revisits his own mix, with the result being a prime time favorite. Also included are remixes by 2 Good Souls, Milo & Acheson and Jay Vegas destined for the main room.

In June, Dave Doyle dropped a bomb with his remix of Beverly Knight's "Mama used to say", now he takes on another single from her current album "Soul UK".
