Dazzle Drums "Basement stomp" (Remixes)(Makin' Moves CD Promo)

Earlier this year in May, Makin' Moves dropped "Basement stomp" by Dazzle Drums (Nagi & Kei Sugano), a track that has been taking over dance floors globally thanks to no-nonsense drums and beats which together with mind-blowing synth melodies, jazzy chords and the fantastic spoken word poetry by New York poet Rescue Poetix spread an utterly hypnotizing feel you can't resist to dance to. Now the remixes are here, with Dazzle Drums intensifying the vibe to the max on their exhilarating 'Afro Stomp' workout, while DJ Uchikawa smoothes things down on his glamorous interpretation laced with gentle yet thrillingly thumpin' percussive rhythms and glorious keys.

Eddie Valdez & Anthony Malloy "No favors" (Part 1)(Staff Productions CD Promo)

Turn back time to 1984 when "No favors" by Temper (the duo of Anthony Malloy and Cleveland Wright III) was rocking the dance floors. Now thirty years later, this unforgettable dance classic returns in a jaw-dropping rework by Eddie Valdez, featuring original singer Anthony Malloy who re-sung the vocals. Eddie Valdez gives the track a fierce contemporary feel guaranteed to jam-pack the floor, with Anthony Malloy's distinctive vocals being accompanied by melodious chords, jazzy keys and a fetching funk soaked backdrop. The 'Ubuntu Mix' takes the track to deeper mesmerizing grounds, while the 'Mustafa vs Supranova Mix' combines Anthony Malloy's vocals with Supranova's instrumental remix of "Wake up everybody" which was released earlier this year on the label.

Best of the Rest

We are getting so many promos sent each and every week that many of them never get reviewed here on Spirit of House (for various reasons nota bene). However, as we want to make sure you are well informed what is happening, we have introduced this section where, every now and then, we will highlight other noteworthy releases...

First up we have "Something special" by Marlon D, a very effective truly mind-boggling slice of jazz infused deepness guaranteed to cause stir on the dance floor, with ruthlessly thumpin' rhythms leading the way for a glamorous saxophone solo and catchy synth hooks (Underground Collective Recordings CD Promo).

Next is the amazing "Deep for the Heads" EP loaded with four equally brilliant and timeless deep house gems by Chaise Longue (Slikk Tim), Bittersuite, Suarez and J's Gruv's. Simply put, the deeper than deep spell binding rhythms and masterly orchestration found on each of these tracks are guaranteed to send shivers down your spine (Plastik People CD Promo).

From the mind of Chicago's King D the DJ comes the scintillating "Groove with me" EP. Four eclectic truly dazzling tracks are included, each one being a sure-fire dance floor weapon guaranteed to send the dancers into a frenzy with its fervid rhythms and gorgeous orchestration (In the Zone International CD Promo).

We are closing this weeks update with the brand new release from Tobetsa Lamola entitled "Charles T Music Vol. 1". This wicked EP features five equally massive deep house cuts taking you on an exhilarating journey to deepest territory, with the inexorable rhythms and enchanting melodies destined to set the floor on fire (Ohyea Muziq CD Promo).
