Ezel featuring Tamara Wellons "Girl from Ipanema" (Makin' Moves Records CD Promo)

Makin' Moves bless us with Ezel Feliz' paramount cover version of the unforgettable bossa nova song "Girl from Ipanema", a song that was a worldwide hit in the mid-1960's originally produced by Antonio Carlos Jobim, with Portuguese lyrics from Vinius de Moraes (English lyrics were written later by Norman Gimbel). Ezel's glamorous bossa nova  re-creation is sheer musical bliss, featuring an amazing rendition of the lyrics by songstress Tamara Wellons. The up-tempo mixes are courtesy of Justin Imperiale who turns the song into a laidback percussive affair keeping the spirit of the original alive, and Trinidadiandeep who contributes a seminal deep house re-imagination oozing with heavenly melodies.

Mark Di Meo featuring Sofia Rubina "Be mine" (Solid Ground Recordings CD Promo)

The saga of timeless soulful gems on Solid Ground Recordings continues with "Be mine" by Mark Di Meo and songstress Sofia Rubina, a summery production which debuted earlier this year on the labels "2013 Miami Sampler". The original is a masterly soul/jazz/funk infused affair oozing with a gorgeous truly uplifting orchestral vibe guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. Terry Hunter gives the song a deeper feel on his glorious laidback rework, N'Dinga Gaba goes even deeper on his melodious workout laced with delectable melodies, and last but not least Dave Doyle adds his magic funk soaked touch to turn the song into a feel-good affair.

This time, Mr. Deep teams up with Black Orchestra to grace us with an awe-inspiring interpretation of Michael Jackson's all time classic "Rock with you" which is guaranteed to make you yearn for more thanks to utterly deep truly spell binding old school inspired and entrancing synth melodies which take Michael Jackson's one-of-a kind vocals to a whole new level.

NYC Peech Boys "Don't make me wait" (Mus Threee & Spiritual Blessings 2013 Revisitation)(CD-R)

Let's turn back the clock to 1982 when "Don't make me wait" by the NYC Peech Boys (Bernard Fowler, Darryl Short, Larry Levan, Michael de Benedictus, Robert Kasper, Steven Brown) was released and instantly took over dance floors around the globe. Helmut Jost & Gospelfire "I'm not alone" (Soul'n'Vibes Remix)(CD-R)

Gospelfire is an ambitious gospel project by German professional musicians, created by musician, artist, producer and arranger Helmut Jost. "I'm not alone" is taken from their 2010 album "God is able" and has been given a subtle makeover for the soulful oriented dance floors by Soul'n'Vibes whose smoothly stompin' four-to-the-floor rendition keeps the spirit of the original alive. Nuff said.
