Back in August, critically acclaimed DJ/remixer Mike Maurro dropped the mind-boggling " Groove On Down (Essentials)" compilation that features a total of eleven handpicked tracks. Included are five brand new Mike Maurro remixes of Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force "Planet rock", Michael Jackson "Billie Jean", Freeez featuring John Rocca "I.O.U.", Madonna "Borderline" and Loleatta Holloway "Love sensation", an early Mike Maurro demo mix of Nicolette Larson "Lotta love", as well as eleven remastered classic gems, some of which are amongst the rarest vinyl 12". Previously only available as digital download only, the compilation has recently been released on 2xCD featuring a bonus remix of George Benson "Give me the night". Indisputably essential.
