In September of last year, Stellar Disco Records dropped the breathtaking "Northern light selectionz" EP by Brian Nance which included the standout track "Just be" a marvelous slice of laidback soul infused deepness featuring a grandiose trumpet by Kafele and glamorous vocals by Bes. Two months later, the first part of the "Just be" remixes followed (featuring dope interpretations by Kiko Navarro and Slotta), now part two of the remixes is ready which indisputably is by no means to be missed... Opolopo has been pulling out all the stops and blesses us with an ingenious truly dazzling re-imagination guaranteed to send shivers down your spine, Doug Gomez contributes a paramount uber soulful yet captivating rendition oozing with a gorgeous afro/latin influenced feel, and finally label head hWah delivers an expertly crafted futuristic rework on a mind-blowing truly mesmerizing deep yet soulful tip.

Undeniably, Double Cheese Records have a sure-fire dance floor weapon in their hands with "U mama ulele" by label head Luyo, Stones & Bones and Greco Soul, a verily lively production using vibrant afrocentric rhythms as foundation for sweet guitars, sublime saxophone, sumptuous keys and the wonderful seductive vocals of Halala. The atmospheric dub version is an utterly hypnotizing stripped down affair sure to cause a stir on the dance floor. Don't sleep on this one...

The blazin' hot "House Tree" compilation by UNKNOWN season has been a secret weapon here at Spirit of House for about a month now, the release is only a couple of days away so keep your eyes open. A total of fifteen tracks are included, the list of artists is truly illustrious and includes Brisa, Korsakow & Jack Jenson, Ryoma Takemasa, Crispin J Glover, Satoshi Fumi, Franck Roger, Alton Miller featuring Bantu Sou, Luyo, Pete Moss & Jay Hill, Lars Behrenroth, Iori Wakasa, Yusuke Yamamoto, Chris Coco and Akio Takahashi. From DJ/producer Zepherin Saint comes an ingenious four-to-the-floor re-imagination of "Skyy (can you feel me)" a wonderful song by Raphael Saadiq (from his 2002 debut artist album "Instant vintage"). Indisputably, Zepherin Saint has been pulling out all the stops and blesses us with jaw-dropping truly paramount uber soulful jewel having timeless written all over, with gentle yet enthralling percussive rhythms leading the way for illustrious keys, celestial chords, lovely guitar and the eminent vocals of Adrianne Archie. The alternate 'Live Mix' gives the song a somewhat more laidback rich organic feel sure to cast a spell on you.

What a phenomenal musical treat we have here... "Sunset city" by Soulpersona is a truly breathtaking masterly crafted and orchestrated album starring the one and only Princess Freesia whose unrivaled vibrant sultry vocals are the icing on the cake. The musical backdrop is inspired heavily by the disco, jazz funk, rare groove and soul of the late 70's and early 80's and features guest musicians Terry Lewis on guitar and Andy Tolman on bass. Most definitely, "Sunset city" is taking you on a blissful verily enthralling musical excursion where the grooves are infectious and feature a mainly up-tempo score, with a couple of mid-tempo groovers and a slow burner thrown in for good measure.
