It's unbelievable how time is moving, but it has been a full seven years since Jamie Lewis and Michael Watford teamed up on "For you". Now they unite again for "It's over", a stormin' track with a deeply rumblin' bassline and wicked keys and strings, and then there is the the incomparable Michael Watford who provides an outstanding vocal performance. All of this is resulting in an absolutely irresistible track where the dub mixes take it deeper, adding a true underground flavor to it. To be available only as limited edition release on Purple Music, but this will not be the end of the story...

Zap Mama "Crazy life" (Shelter Records 12")

"Crazy life" was originally released in 2002 with mixes by Charles Spencer, now Big Moses & Quentin Harris team up for a fresh interpretation to give the track an anthemic feeling that is based on a bumpin', percussion enriched groove that serves as playground for the spaced-out keys and vocals that are somewhat reminiscent of Björk.

Peven Everett "Stuck" (Soul Heaven Records CD Promo)

"Stuck" is a soulful anthem that is written, produced, performed and arranged by Peven Eerett himself. The song is spreading an acoustic vibe and features a deeply rumblin' groove together with jazzy keys. The release includes interpretations by Phil Asher, Karizma and Groove Assassin who all keep the feeling of the original alive while adding their own distinctive sound.
 

D.C. Washington "I miss you" (Soulshine Records 12")

Soulshine Records celebrate the return of D.C. Washington with the Joe Flame co-written and produced "I miss you" that features additional keys by Louis Benedetti. The 'Club Mix' is the choice for peak time play thanks to its deeply stompin' groove and jazzy piano, while the 'Soulful Mix' and 'Dub Mix' take it to a deeper, more laidback vibe featuring wonderful harmonic keys.
 

Ray Paxon featuring Syb "Dream on" (ProgCity Deep Records CD Promo)

Ray Paxon and Mark Joyce, two of Switzerland's hottest newcomers are back on ProgCity Deep with the soulful and very melodic "Dream on". Ray Paxon teams up with another swiss artist, the talented Sybille Faessler who provides the vocals. The 'Original Mix' features great chords and warm keys over a smooth, deeply thumpin' groove, while the 'Electro Ride' is is toughening things up a bit with sharp beats and electrofied keys, but still keeps the it soulful. Mark Joyce delivers some deep house magic on his dub interpretation, giving it a magnificent late nite feeling.
 

United People of Zion featuring DKP "Pure surprise" (Loven Records CD Promo)

UK based Loven Records present this soulful production by United People of Zion that features a wonderful vocal and rap by DKP. The original version is a beautiful r&b track on a soulful tip. Alex Senna provides two remixes, with the 'Latin Bossa Mix' being on a latinesque downtempo tip, while the 'Soulful House Mix' is is a soulful 4/4 take spreading a laidback vibe through the warm and melodic instrumentation. Lastly, Roy Hayes provides something unique on his remix that combines a soulful groove with electro keys.
 

Jamie Lewis featuring Michelle Weeks "Be thankful" (Jazz'N'Groove Remixes)(Purple Music Records CD Promo)

Last years WMC (Winter Music Conference) smash gets the remix treatment from Jazz'N'Groove aka Brian Tappert & Marc Pommeroy who deliver two fantastic reworkings. Their vocal comes on an old school tip with wicked keys reminiscent in some parts of the ever timeless "Gypsy woman" by Crystal Waters, while the dub is a delicious piece of irresistible dancefloor madness that is grooving from the beginning to the end.
 

Kerri Chandler "So let the wind come" (Original / Remix)(NiteGrooves Records 12")

Originally released on the b-side of "Sunset", "So let the wind come" was a favorite with many DJs and deserved a proper release. The disco loop is gone on both of the new mixes, with the 'Remix' going for a trippy rhythm topped with lashings of string stabs and chimes, while the 'Original' is pure deepness on a classic vibe that is based on a deeply rumblin' groove, being enriched with laminar keys.
 

Mary J Blige "Baggage" (Layabouts Re-Edit)(CD-R)

The Layabouts take on the beautiful r&b song "Baggage" lifted from Mary J Blige's current longplayer "The breakthrough" and give it a funked-up feeling on their reworking that combines a smoothly stompin' groove and spacey keys with the sweet vibes and soulful vocals from the original.
 

DJ Nibc featuring Karime Kendra "Deliverence" (Trunkfunk Records CD Promo)
