The Kolai Krew "Take it back" (Thaisoul Music Records CD Promo)

DJ and producer Jask is kicking off his brand new label Thaisoul with this production by The Kolai Krew (Nicolas Laget & Taha Elroubi) that has been released back in late 2003 as part of "EPiology Vol. 2" on Sahara Records. "Take it back" is bringing back the music from the disco era with its combination of oldschool disco, funk, soul and jazz grooves that get topped with Maria Rochelle's sultry vocals and freestyle vibes by MC Krayola. The result is a ultra cool flashback of the past that will make your feet move with its uplifting feeling. DJ Pippi uses a deeply stompin' groove as base for his interpreation that also makes use of additional sounds and effects.
 

Connie Harvey "Thank you lord" (Jask Remix)(SoulFuric Records CD Promo)

After the Jazz'N'Grovoe and Audiowhores remixes from last year of this 1994 classic, there are now fresh mixes by Jask exclusively available as online download at Traxsource. Jask is adding his Thaisoul formula to the song, creating a soulful and groovy affair with laminar keys over a fiercely stormin' groove.
 

Whiteside "I got the music" (Club Music)(Milk & Sugar Records CD Promo)

This track by DJ and producer Whiteside is taken from the "Limited VIP CD Ibiza 2005" sampler CD from Milk & Sugar Records. It is spreading an uplifting feeling through a fierce groove driven by a funky bassline that is topped with a powerful vocal and wicked piano line.
 

Breakpoint featuring Jon Banfield "Whenever you want me" (Danism Remix)(ZooGroove Stereo Records CD Promo)

For the fifth release on Zoo Groove Stereo, Bobby & Steve haven choosen to give their classic 1997 production "Whenever you want me" a new life. Danism are responsible for the reworking that is using rolling beats, stabbing jazzy chords and a kicking groove to create an funktified garage feeling.
 

Exclusive Preview: Nikos "Bright like a star" (Stealth Records CD Promo)

Nikos Mavrommatis signed with Roger Sanchez' label Stealth Records that will give "Bright like a star" a full 12" release later this year, at the moment it is only availalbe on the mixed "Release Yourself Vol. 4" compilation. Starting off with a jazzy flute and sexy female spoken words over a smoothly thumpin', percussion enhanced groove, before the melodic keys, soulful vocals and saxophone come in, this song is the perfect companion for warm summer nights with its sunny vibe.
 

Sterling Ensemble featuring Juliet Malsha "Believe" (Ricanstruction Records 12")

Smooth and jazzy vibes courtesy of Albert 'Sterlin' Menendez & Rico Suarez, featuring delicate vocals by Juliet Maisha. The original 'Sterling Mix' is a deep and laidback serving, spreading a sultry summer feeling with a strong influence from Blue 6 (just remember their "Music and wine"). The 'Aural Dub' heats things up with a latinesque groove and wicked organ solo.
 

The Backroom Bandits featuring Kurt Elling "One day" (SoulGroove Records 12" Promo)

The Backroom Bandits (aka Backroom Productions) take for the second time on a classic by the groundbraking jazz composer and lyricist Kurt Elling whose melancholic "One day" gets perfectly acccentuated by a mellow bumpin' house groove and melodic keys, creating a modern art jazz house piece.
 

Miquifaye "Tribes of chant Part II (The Spirit World)" (Infinite Audio Records 12")

Anthony Nicholson returns on the new Chicago label Infinite Audio with an afro house fusion track featuring african chants over a deep, percussively thumpin' groove added with warm melodic keys, creating a sublime piece of late night dance grooves.
 

Diviniti "Love will stay" (Women on Wax Records 12")

Afte the massive 2004 club hit "Find a way", Diviniti returns with the Pirahnahead co-produced "Love will stay". The original version is based on a mellow and deep groove that comes complete with wicked keys, spreading a laidback feeling. The 'Ever After Mix' builds on the vibe of the original, adding extra instrumentation and deepness to it while the DJ Minx is creating a broken beat styled groover.
 

Stacey Mallory "What is housemusic..." (Jellybean Records CD Promo)

"What is housemusic...", a simple and deep track driven by a percussion loaded tribalistic groove added with wicked keys and a spoken word message, has been picked by Jellybean Soul Records who will soon release this production by New Jersey based producer Stacey Mallory, complete with a remix by DJ Pope who turns it into a deeply rumblin' track featuring laminar keys that is spreading a hypnotic vibe.
 

Steal Vybe "Passion (in me)" (KingStreet Records 12")

The ever busy Steal Vybe present "Passion (in me)", another cracking production featuring a soulful vocal peformance by Stephanie Renee over a steadily grooving backing track, featuring stellar analog keys, sultry sax and shuffling beats together with a wandering bassline. This is a surefire late nite pleaser coming in a nice variation of mixes.
 

Jerome Sydenham & Mikael Nordgren "Stockholm - go bang!" (Ibadan Records 12" Promo)

Ibadan label head Jerome Sydenham and swedens Mikael Nordgren team up for "Stockholm - go bang!", a track riffing on the "Jaguar" / "Sandcastles" sound, featuring a superb guitar line together with great chords and strings over a deeply stormin', tribal percussion driven groove.
 

Jazztronik "Froro" / "Phoenix" (Pantone Music Records 12")

Both "Froro" and "Phoenix" are taken from Jazztronik's current album "Samurai", with "Froro" coming here in brand new mixes by S.U.M.O. (vocal and dub) who give the tribal vibes of the original an afro house edge. "Phoenix" is a piano-driven, string filled Detroit-ish tech house cut on a deep tip, included here in an extended version.
