D-Reflection makes his debut on Stimulated Soul with "Hard to get", an uplifting sun drenched production featuring passionate vocals by Irma van Pamelen, lovely guitar solos and warm keys over a smooth yet fiery funked-up backdrop. His 'Summer Reflection' version somewhat relaxes the vibe and puts the guitar center stage to intensify the summery feel, while Richard Earnshaw injects his trademark bumpin' sound to turn the track into a peak time favorite. Last but not least, Stewart McCarthy takes us back in time with his remix influenced by the classic Detroit house sound. |

Back in June we wrote about the original release "We were instantly blown away by the beauty of the orchestration and vocals, this is pure soulful dance music made for eternity..." Then, a couple of days ago, we got the remix package, and what shall we say - as with the original release, we can't stop listening to these musical gems... Each of the three equally fantastic songs produced by MAQman (featuring incredible vocals by Selina Campbell, Aaron Washington and Joseph Junior) have been respectfully reworked, keeping the spirit of the original alive while giving them a fresh edge. MAQman himself contributes one previously unreleased version per song, on top of this you have DeeJay Kul, Luman Child and Miles Moore adding their distinctive touch, with each of the new versions showing an amazing depth of influences such as disco, funk, soul and house to name just a few. |

Almost two years passed since we've heard last from Camio Records, but now they are back stronger than ever with this gem by label head Jonny Montana and house diva Dawn Williams who pull out all the stops on the paramount "I choose me". This marvelous song features incredible keys and organ play by Jonny Montana and Bennett Holland alongside an outstanding vocal performance by Dawn Williams (we have to admit we just can't get enough of her powerful yet emotive voice) over a smooth backing that wows with the beloved organic sound Jonny Montana is famous for. There is not only the vocal version but also two fantastic dubs (for the purists, all of the tree are available as instrumentals as well). |
