Dimitri from Paris presents - Get Down with the Philly Sound Beyond doubt, Philly Disco was elemental for the development of dance music as we know and love it today. Now, for the first time ever, there is a comprehensive compilation to document the birth of Disco in Philadelphia and the work of the unsung musicians who played on the numerous timeless classics we all admire so much. Think of legendary names such as Gamble & Huff (producers), Tom Moulton (remixer), Earl Young (founder of The Trammps and creator of the 4/4 Disco drum pattern) - and of course the artists: Harold Melvin & Blue Notes, The Trammps, Teddy Pendergrass, Eddie Kendricks, Philly Devotions, Carl Bean, John Davis... This project is presented by Dimitri from Paris who has selected fourteen exemplary songs from the Philly Disco era for the first CD, while the second CD includes exclusive remixes and edits he created especially for this project. An essential purchase that is also available on deluxe limited double-vinyl's including bonus material.
