HiFi Mike "Hollywood" (Purple Music Records CD Promo)
It took some time (nearly exactly four years) since the now classic "Stereo flavas" has been reviewed here on Spirit of House. Now HiFi Mike returns with "Hollywood" featuirng a soulful female vocal courtesy of Betty Vale (aka Betty Emanuelle). Jamie Lewis is responsible for the mixes, delivering two different sets: the 'Beverly Hills' mixes are on a laidback vibe, featuring a warm and melodic instrumentation including a lovely piano and great horns, while the 'Rodeo Drive' mixes take it to a deeper level, giving it a darker edge with a hypnotic piano and moody chords leading the way.

Monster Taxi featuring Rachel Panay "Get off" (DJ Hot Hands' Lovely Rachel Mix)(Toy Robot Records CD Promo)
In 1978, the legendary TK Records released "Get off" by Foxy. Now in 2007, Toy Robot Records present a remake by Monster Taxi of this classic featuring vocalists Ish Ledesma and Rachel Panay that comes in vaious variations. One is courtesy of swiss DJ Hot Hands who comes up with a smooth yet relentless tribal house interpretation with an erotic edge thanks to the sexy vocals.
Patrik L featuring Andrue Cavaco "Blah" (SoulFunk Digital Records CD Promo)
The uplifting "Blah" by Patrik L features an incredible r&b styled vocal performance by Andrue Cavaco over a deeply rumblin' funktified groove that is enriched with great keys. The 'Disco Edit' lowers the tempo, turning it into an old-school jazz-funk groover, while the 'T Palmer Remix' is an electro reworking for the main rooms. lastly there is the 'Big City Dog Remix', a massive banger for the bigger rooms and raves.

Gotta Keep Faith Records are on a roll at the moment, unleashing one great release after another. First up is Eric Pazouda aka DJ Rico who presents a lovely EP consisting of four tracks, all taking you on a ride into deep funktified house grooves, featuring passionate and sexy male and female vocals over the deeply stormin grooves. Second are The Insatiables aka Luka & Marko, two brothers from Belgrade, Serbia. Their release includes two tracks: "Chicago", a jazz-funky track featuring catchy keys and great horns coming in two variations. The original is a deeply stormin' affair, while the DJ Moog remix is built around a phat funky groove. "Perspective" is a stompin' track featuring a deeply rumblin' bassline and wicked keys that keeps on groovin' from the beginning to the end.
Jazztronik "Samurai" (Redsoul Remix)(Pantone Records CD Promo)
Dave Wareing (aka Redsoul) reworks the massive broken-beat styled "Samurai" by Jazztronik, to be released on Pantone in the UK and as part of the "Beauty Flow EP" on Pony Canyon in Japan. These housed up versions use a powerfully thumpin' beat as base for the incredible piano, with spoken words coutesy of Charles Dockins that intensify the relentless vibe of the track.
Various "TriCircle Deep Sampler 1" (TriCircle Deep Records CD Promo)
For their second release, TriCircle Deep present a slammin' four track EP. The duo of Slim (Jan Schlueter) and Swift (Felix Wenzel) present two tracks: "Dirty disco" is a beat driven track spiced with dsico-funk flavors and jazzy elements, while "We got da feeling" is on a retro deep-house tip with great keys. Melchyor A and DJ Rico team up for "Funk slam" coming in two versions: Melchyor A's 'Fonk Mix' is a deep'n'funky affair featuring female vocals and horns, while DJ Rico's 'Fresh Vibes Remix' takes the track to deep underground territory with wicked keys.
Arduini & Pagany "House anthem" (Distar Records CD Promo)
With "House anthem", Arduini & Pagany deliver a fierce house track driven by an irresistible piano line that is enriched with lovely strings that give it an uplifting balearic vibe. The powerful beats strengthen the relentless feeling this track is spreading on the dancefloor. A peaktime sure shot.
