Groove Junkies & Andy Caldwell feat Alexander Sky "I believe in dreams" (MoreHouse Records CD Promo)

In 2004, Alexander Sky for the first time collaborated with the Groove Junkies. Now just in time for the festive season, tehy reunite, along with producer and DJ Andy Caldwell for "I believe in dreams". Alexander Sky delivers a passionate and emotional vocal performance on the song that comes in a variety of mixes to choose from. The 'AC vs GJ Original Mix' is an uplifting affair with melodic keys over a stormin groove, while Andy Caldwell's 'Deep Mix' is a deep and moody affair with electronic keys. The Groove Junkies twist the original version into a broken beat styled affair with a definite old-school touch on their '808 Alternate Mix', while their 'MoHo Mix' is funking things up with a wonderful jazzy saxophone included.

Keith Worthy "Emotional content" (Aesthetic Records CD Promo)

Aesthetic Records is a brand new label out of Detroit run by Keith Worthy (aka Worthyisdeep). The label will have its debut release in January 2007, an ambient-ish three track EP by label head Keith Worthy himself. "Emotional content" is a laidback track built around a deeply thumpin' beat that is topped with wicked spacey synth lines. "The angry edit" is a percussion loaded track on a deep and moody tip, while "A song for Geli" gets a bit more electronic while keeping it deep and mellow.

Exclusive Review: Joe Rizla "The first of december" (CD-R)

Raisani Records follow up their massive debut release "Deep in house" by Roland Clark with another sure shot winner by Chris Forman (aka Steal Vybe) who produced the track and also provides the spoken word vocals. "Rated X" comes in two flavors, with the original mixes showing the darker side of Chris Forman as they come with a raw and moody groove, while the soulful mixes smooth it down to a deeply thumpin' relentless groove that is enriched with marvellous spacey keys.

Stacey Mallory "Uprising" (4 Real Records CD Promo)

With "Uprising", Stacey Mallory delivers a fierce track that creates a relentless vibe on the dancefloor with its percussion enriched groove and a great horn section that gets accompanied by lovely strings, exquisite keys and a stellar synth line. You can choose between two equally great mixes, with a beats version available as well.

Ty Black "Can you feel it" (4 Real Records CD Promo)

For "Can you feel it", Stacey Mallory teams up with Ty Black who delivers a passionate vocal performance over a groovy backing music that is driven by a funky bassline, with marvellous keys with a jazz feel and a splendid synth line to go along with. An essential vocal production not to be missed.

Stevie Wonder "I love you" (DFA Remix)(FallOut Records 12")

Stevie Wonder is among the favored soul/r&b artists to be remixed, with many of the mixes never getting a public release. Gladly this reworking by Darryl James and Fred McFarlane made it to vinyl, as they rework "I love you" into an irresistible bumpin' four-to-the-floor track with a lovely guitar, beautiful jazzed-up keys and spheric synth that harmonise beautifully with Stevie Wonder's vocal.

Panevino featuring Xavior "Don't waste my time" (Panevino Music Records CD Promo)

Swiss duo Sandro Endrighetti and Renato Abate aka Panevino present two new productions that are so fresh they have yet to be signed. "Don't waste my time" is an uplifting track featuring an inspirational vocal by Xavior over a thumpin' groove that is enriched with a funky bassline and old-school keys (there is a slight reminiscence to the David Jospeh classic "You can't hide" in some parts) alongside a wicked organ. The dub varies the keys to turn it into a peaktime favorite, while the 'PV Not Wasting Time Re-Touch' features wicked breakdowns and builds. Remixes will drop in early 2007.

Exclusive Review: Su Su Bobien "Set free" (Alex Dimitr's Re-Construction)(CD-R)

Alex Dimitri takes on Su Su Bobien's massive gospel house track "Set free" and delivers two outstanding remixes. The first one uses a simple, stompin' beats driven backing groove to let Su Su Bobien's lead vocals and the chorus create an uplifting vibe. The second mix adds an incredible organ ride by Dieghito that intensifies the uplifting vibe created by the vocals.

Kerri Chandler "The machine" (Vocal)(CD Promo)

The original (instrumental) version of "The machine" was released on "The June 23 EP" on Max Trax earlier this year. "The machine" is Kerri Chandlers idea of the mass media's control over what they want us to believe vs what we feel is true. Listen to the lyrics and you'll get the idea. Musicwise, "The machine" is one of those irresistible deep house tracks Kerri Chandler is famous for.

Fabio Bacchini "Crystal City EP" (Ringside Records CD Promo)

Ringside Records debuted just a couple of weeks ago with the hot "Left Hook EP" by Bryan Jones and Fabio Bacchini who pulls out yet another slammin' EP including four tracks that are guaranteed to rock the dancefloors with their relentless grooves and added disco-funk flavors, with some jazz ingredients to be found as well.
