Welcome to Volume 3 of our new format called Short Reviews on Spirit of House. There is so much fresh music out there that deserves to be heard, so here we go...

"Another try" sees legends Victor Simonelli and Keith Thompson team up for an energetic track that is destined to destroy the dance floors with its positive power and uplifting vocals alongside a resistless hook inspired by the Third World classic "One more time". Beside Victor Simonelli's vocal, dub and acapella versions there is an additional electro flavored dub by Jack Smeraglia (Stellar Records CD Promo). Dance music diva Barbara Tucker returns with the Peppe Tuccillo produced "One desire" that got remixed by Alix Alvarez into a deep'n'dark house thumper, while D. Figueretta's dub is a deep mesmerizing affair. Lastly Hideo Kobayashi gives the track a tougher, hypnotic tech-funky edge (KingStreet Records CD Promo). Davidson Ospina presents "Take me" featuring a passionate vocal by Danil over a stompin' yet soulful backing that is enriched with captivating synth layers, some of which the 'Stripped Mix' gets rid off. Born to Funk give it a funktified re-rub, while Sasha Alazy takes the track to the bigger floors (Ospina Digital Records CD Promo).

Italy's Gotta Keep Faith Records present two massive packages. First we have the lovely vocal house cut "Confused mind" by Monsieur Cedric featuring singer Mii who provides a sexy mixture of English and Japanese vocals. Lots of remixes to choose from by the likes of Ciappy DJ, Dolls Combers, Duoswing (aka Stephan Hoellermann), Steve Paradise and Steve Frisco who all add their unique touch (Gotta Keep Faith Records CD Promo). Next is the double-single release "Love me" / "Star in the blue" by Steve Paradise featuring sensitive vocals by Kiara S. Both tracks ooze with uplifting summery vibes and come your way in form of various lovely mixes to choose from - Rhody, Ronny Magic and Sergio D'Angelo take on "Love", while Spiritual Blessings, Franco Martinelli, Victor Da Silva and Alex Garcia rework "Star in the blue". A highlight of the release is the down tempo acoustic swing version of "Love me" (Gotta Keep Faith Records CD Promo). Avi Elman (head of United People of Zion/UPZ) and Danny J team up for two deep house tracks on the "Dark Rides EP" that includes the feel good "Fairground" with catchy synths and the slightly dark "Night drifter" with wicked chords over a moody groove (soWHAT Records CD Promo).

Kerri Chandler reworks the magnificent "Found him" by Studio Apartment that sees Monique Bingham to impress with her incomparable vocal talents. His 'Bigga Vocal Mix' is pure uplifting, soulful madness for the dance floor with an orchestral touch, while the 'Kaoz 6:23 Dub' is pure deep underground house that made him famous (KingStreet Records Digital Download). We've been promised more mixes from Kerri Chandler, so watch this space. The feel good "Happy" by Japanese production trio Orienta Rhythm features songstress Joi Cardwell and is guaranteed to have the people raise their hands and sing along, with the catchy keys and fierce groove making this a dance floor burner (KingStreet Records CD Promo). Guess Records present something special with "The RaFa Re-Edits", an EP of four tracks from the labels catalog that Rasmus Faber picked and reworked, adding his own personal touch to each of the chosen Spiritchaser and Mocha tracks (Guess Records Promo CD).
