Following were massive remixes by DJ Mannix, Pasha NoFrost and Husky (one half of Random Soul), now this timeless gem returns once again in even more amazing remixes by the likes of Danny Clark, Groove Assassin and Haldo all adding their distinctive soulful touch to take the song a whole new level... Tony Records have a beauty in their hands with "Thankful", a towering soulful production having timeless written all over by highly talented producer and musician Ziggy Funk and songstress Tess Leah whose passionate vocals harmonize perfectly with the glorious keys and organic funk drenched backdrop. Neil Pierce contributes a deeper interpretation which combines Tess Leah's outstanding vocals with mesmerizing deep percussive rhythms and lush keys, and last but not least Sy Sez enters deepest grounds on his old skool inspired truly hypnotizing dub version.

Galaxy Group, the collaborative project of Charles Spencer and Antoine Green (Capitol A), return with "Lady Harlem", a mind-blowing musical gem featuring the spoken word poetry of Rich Medina. "Lady Harlem" has timeless written all over, with smooth afro tinged rhythms leading the way for the expressive lyrics, grand keys and beautiful saxophone. On remix duty we have Mike 'Agent X' Clark whose stripped back workout intensifies the percussion elements and puts the vocal center stage, and Casamena whose 'Deep Mix' and 'Club Mix' are diverse yet both ooze with a mesmerizing afrotastic vibe.

What happens if two of todays most ingenious and versatile producers, Vick Lavender and Pirahnahead, join forces with Diviniti, one of todays most renowned divas? You get a timeless masterpiece oozing with a masterly orchestration and phenomenal vocals not found elsewhere. "Let it go" truly is a  match made in heaven, combining Diviniti's inimitable angelic rendition of the of the lyrics with the one-of-a-kind vintage sounds of of Vick Lavender and Pirahnahead - a gem guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. The latest release on Women on Wax Recordings is the sensual "The pickup" by Eric King previously released through Whasdat Music on Pirahnahead's "Aural" EP in August 2011. First up is Pirahnahead's groovy original production which uses a relentlessly thumpin' backdrop as playground for Eric King's enchanting spoken word poetry and lush keys. Next we have N'Dinga Gaba's hypnotizing rework taking the track to deepest territory, with throbbing rhythms leading the way for the vocals and enticing melodies. Finally, label head DJ Minx delivers a deep minimal take which puts the emphasis on the lyrics and percussive elements. A sure fire weapon to set the floor on fire...

Together they present "My friend", an infectious underground-esque production on an old school tip featuring the enticing spoken word poetry by Joe Flame and lush keys over deep spell binding rhythms. On remix duty are Doc Link who adds his signature funk infused touch and Fiso Da Costa who contributes an exquisite afrolicious rendition. Highly recommended.
