This is not your usual series of well known and corny Disco classics - what you get with the "Disco Love" series compiled by Glasgow's Al Kent is an eclectic selection of fabulous Disco records you probably never heard of before. But this is not all, many of the songs are featured in exclusive re-edits specially crafted for this album by Mr. Kent. There are many treasures to be discovered on this album - two of our favorites are "I feel like dancin'" by Aged In Harmony and "Make love to you" by Scarbrough, but make no mistake and check them all out. Highly recommended. |

The legendary American DJ and producer Hippie Torrales launches his brand new label What Is Hip with a musical gem titled "If you need a man", and best of all he blesses us with one of his rare vocal performances (previously he sung on Turntable Orchestra's "You're gonna miss me" from 1988 and T.T.O.'s "The bottle" from 1996), delivering a deeply felt vocal on this enticing production featuring luscious keys over a spell binding backdrop. Sandy Spady is back on Daddy Funk Records with "Door is open", and there isn't really much more to say about this slammin' release other than it will become an instant hit with DJ's and house music lovers likewise. Each of the mixes included by Benedetto & Farina, Carlos Vargas, Clown Dallas, Euan Mitchell, seaN4Sound and Tony Loreto & Mark Di Meo is a musical gem in its own right. Another quality release from Daddy Funk not to be missed. |
