This one must be sent from heaven... titled "(Just like) a dream", this collaboration by Pirahnahead and Diviniti features celestial vocals and blissful melodies over infectious yet smooth rhythms, making this an instant soulful house classic. But it doesn't end there, as Jose Carretas delivers a brilliant remix, turning the track into a deep yet soulful affair oozing with addictive synth melodies. Highly talented London soul singer Donae'o makes an impressive debut on Strictly Rhythm with the super soulful "I" which features his unmistakable heartfelt vocals alongside warm melodic keys over a groovy funk drenched backdrop - one not to be missed by any lover of soulful house music. For the third release on their Newav Media label, DJN Project have joined forces with the legendary Kenny Bobien to present the eternal "What a way", a song soon to be considered a timeless classic thanks to Kenny Bobien's unmistakable falsetto vocals, glorious melodies and a smooth yet thrilling four-to-the floor backing. Zepherin Saint returns with "Midnight mawal" which is inspired by his nomadic journeys through North Africa and the Middle East where he recorded native musicians and global artists to feature in his music. This production is simply outstanding and features incredible vocals by Mohanned Mcallah and keys by Yoel Ben Yehuda over Afro-Cuban inspired rhythms. Add ingenious mixes from up and rising Jose Marquez who gives the track a more tribal feel to the package and you have another eternal release from Tribe Records that is not to be missed.

South Africa's Sci-Fi Productions are set to score big with this marvelous release by the highly talented Sobz titled "Summer love", a blend of irresistible afro-tribal rhythms with luscious synth melodies and heartfelt vocals which give the track a novel sound. But it doesn't end here as Sobz himself, Menu, Blackjean and label head Fiso Da Costa contribute an eclectic selection of remixes, each of them adding their unique style to take the track to the next level. We are sure to hear much more from both Sobz and Sci-Fi Productions in the future...

When this landed in my mailbox earlier this week, I got hooked the very first moment by the relentless rhythms, thrilling melodies and meaningful lyrics... Groove Junkies are on top of their game here, teaming up with spoken word artist Louis Hale, songstress Peggi Blu and the one and only Solara for "Rhythm talks", a smooth yet vibrant jazz drenched production on a classic tip. The infectious 'GJ Deep Afro Mix' features atmospheric melodies over ruthless afro-deep rhythms, while the 'GJ Mo Hump Mix' turns up the heat with intoxicating drums and a freaky acid bassline. Christopher Wilde takes us on a journey to deepest afro-jazz territory on his spell binding remix, while Angell Vittore & RJ Spinher take the track to the main room with their techy workout. Timeless and essential.
