Turn back the clock to February 2012 when we reviewed the paramount "Brand new love" by gifted musician and producer George Mena (rip) and highly esteemed songstress Ambrosia on MK Records, an inimitable slice of soulful dance music bringing back memories of yesteryear laced with the unrivaled sultry vocals by Ambrosia (complete with superb remixes by Jose Burgos and PolyRhythm). Fast forward to present day, and Franke Estevez blesses us with an awe-inspiring re-imagination of this timeless soulful gem, delivering both a glamorous soulful rendition and a scintillating disco/funk infused interpretation.
