In summer 2008, Feelin' Music released "Once I've been there", an incredible song catching you with the first listen thanks to the fantastic vocals by Daniel Thomas and the uplifting yet resistless Disco-funk flavored musical backing courtesy of Deep Factor (DJ Kulbir & Ian Mckenzie) - today, this timeless production reminiscent of the glory days of Disco with the old-school horn and string sections, the funk oozing groove and all the other elements added is considered a classic. Right in time for spring and summer, this gem returns, including remastered and re-imagined versions of the original mixes as well as previously unreleased mixes from Deep Factor, DJ Kulbir and Dante Devito. Essential and not to be missed. |

At last we can enjoy the superb "Have to talk" by Jon Silva in its full glory... In summer of 2009, the original version was featured on Grooveland Music's "Grooves de uma Nação" compilation, then in March 2010 their "2K10 Sampler" included a remix by DJ DD, but it took until now for the full package to become available. "Have to talk" is pure timeless soulful house featuring uplifting vocals by Jon Silva himself alongside gorgeous keys over a smooth funk drenched backing, taken to the next level by the likes of 12 Shades of Fantasy, 60 Hertz, Douglas Marques, DJ DD and Marc Cotterel who all add their distinctive touch to the track, letting you choose from a variety of equally fantastic interpretations. Essential. |

"Live your life" is the second in a series of collaborations between SoulfulBeats and producer/song writer/vocalist Erik Rico, and this beauty continues what "Tonight" started a couple of months ago. Once again Erik Rico impresses with an expressive performance which is combined with a funk soaked backdrop and phat keys on Matt Hughes 'Trel-Lik' version. Anthony Nicholson and PowderSoul take the song to heaven with their remixes: Anthony Nicholson serves an exquisite deep melodious version, while PowderSoul contributes a captivating underground-esque dub workout. |
