Antidote Music bless us with an outstanding selection of house remixes of "Imiyalo" by Nomalungelo Dladla, a Swati inspirational song has touched all hearts from the dance floor and beyond. The chosen ones to add their magical deep/soulful touch to the song are The Antidotes, Lele X, Nteeze & Andy, Chymamusique, Monodeluxe and Symphonic - to cut a long story short, each of their interpretations is truly fresh and ingenious, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version. In other words, a package guaranteed to send shivers down your spine and make you yearn for more. By no means to be missed.

Not much needs to be said and written about this paramount release by legendary producer/DJ Andy Compton and up and rising South African songstress Sisanda Myataza who impresses with her lovely truly unique voice and the glamorous rendition of the lyrics. Two equally fabulous productions are included on the EP, first up is the enthralling Detroit influenced title track "Peace love & joy" which combines the vocals with heavenly synth melodies, acidic overtones and deeply thumpin' rhythms. Second is "No denying", a South African influenced soul oozing gem using deeply rumblin' rhythms as playground for the vocals, seductive keys, sweet guitar and entrancing saxophone by James Morton. Instrumental versions of both are included, making this an essential package for any lover of deep soulful house music.

Back in late December of last year, we reviewed the phenomenal "You're my delight" by Luyo which features Wendy Lewis' emotive truly one-of-a-kind vocals. Now the long awaited second part has arrived, including the fervid 'Delightful Dub' version from DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins, the enticing 'Sure Shot Mix' by M&S (Ricky Morrison & Fran Sidoli) and a brand new remix by the team of Luis Radio & Pablo Martinez who take this timeless club classic to all new heights on their outstanding rework combining the incomparable vocals with inebriant melodies and spell binding rhythms.

South African duo Linda Sikhosana (Menu) and Floyd Nkonyane (Floyd), collectively known as Lilac Jeans, has been going from strength to strength ever since they launched their Lilac Jeans Music imprint, as they present the next releases for the label the winning streak will continue for sure. First up we have the enthralling "Sky is the limit" which features the emotive vocals of Sue alongside sublime keys and lovely flute over gently bouncin' rhythms - a sure-fire crowd pleaser. Next up is the glorious "Despair" by Kele B, with Lilac Jeans combining her amazing deeply rooted vocals with a smoothly thumpin' backdrop and grand keys and chords. Brazil's Grooveland Music bless us with the fourth single taken from Michele McCain's highly acclaimed full length album "Marivent Soul" reviewed here on Spirit of House back in June 2012. Edground's original version of "Ocean breeze" is a marvelous laidback affair featuring gorgeous keys by Daniel Reis and sublime trumpet by Robert Burbidge over a gentle organic broken beat flavored backing, not to forget to mention Michelle McCain's inimitable refined vocals. The stellar remixes by Alan de Laniere, Alex Cristiano, Monodeluxe, Steve SoulBasics and Sol Element & Dimi Stuff take the song to the next level, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version. To be released on limited CD single first, with digital downloads to follow in August.

Wipe the Needle (aka Swedish born Mikael Nybom and UK based Lee Gomez) join forces with Fred Triplett (a pastor from the USA) for a breathtaking inspirational slice of uplifting soulful heaven entitled "Better way". Beyond the shadow of a doubt, the dulcet percussion enriched organic rhythms together with the classic jazzy piano and Fred Triplett's unrivaled gospel tinged vocals will send shivers down your spine. The dub mix takes the song into a completely different direction, with relentless deeply thumpin' rhythms serving as playground for glorious keys and chords and the vocals. By no means to be missed.

Italy's Luca Ciotoli and Stefano De Magistris, collectively known as Souldynamic, team up with songstress Miranda Nicole on "Trust", a mind-blowing slice of super soulful house music. Spell binding yet smooth rhythms lead the way for grandiose melodious keys and Miranda Nicole's incomparable sultry vocals, altogether spreading a mesmerizing feel guaranteed to make you yearn for more.
